Initially when I put this brace on, it provides relief and stability to my type 3 shoulder separation. But it becomes uncomfortable fairly quickly if I snug it up much at all by riding up into my armpit on both sides. I suppose if you have a substantial bicep on the side of the affected shoulder and a hefty pectoral muscles, this brace may not ride up into either armpit. By riding up, it then tends to pull across my chest and no longer exerts enough downward pressure on the clavicle. So, I end up cinching it up further, which helps but cuts even more uncomfortably into my armpits. There is another brace available that also wraps around your torso. That seemed ideal as it would help preserve the downward pressure and correct position, but it would not fit around even my slender torso. The problem with all of the braces I have tried is that they put mostly lateral pressure on the shoulder. For shoulder separation, which involves the collar bone pulling up and tearing away from the scapula, what is needed is DOWNWARD compression. All the braces put too much inward pressure on the shoulder and end up not compressing the collar bone down towards its proper location. Even the braces that wrap around the torso are no better. They might be great for rotator cuff or dislocation of the main shoulder joint, but they generally are inadequate for what I have. Read more

I loved the brace overall, had plenty of support for my shoulder but wished it came down farther towards my elbow. After my shoulder surgery I tried a couple of different braces and wasn't quite getting the support I was going to need when going back to work. And with the type of surgical reinforcement to my upper bicep and tendon this brace felt like good solid support. Thank you. Read more

Was excited when I got home from work . I ordered the xl since I have big arms and shoulders. 1 the fit is horrible around your shoulder it flares out and provides no support or compensation. 2 the chest strap digs into your armpit so bad you forget about the pain on the other side lol 3 do to the orthopedic doc and get a correct made for you shoulder brace . I was skeptical of buying this because I wasn’t for sure if it was going to help my pain but I was at the end of my ropes. Im so happy I bought it, bring my everyday 10/10 pain and spasms to a 2-3 and I will take that. I hope it helps someone else.. oh my condition is tendinosis of the rotator cuff. Read more
