I just received this and felt instant relief once I started wearing this. I bought a more expensive one for my left hand, now have pain in right. I was reluctant to spend $125 again, so figured this was worth a try. I can honestly say that the pain is not as bad when wearing and if after removing the relief lasts. Better than getting shots! I really wasn't positive on the size, so ordered a med. It was a little too large, and a bit uncomfortable, but not real bad. I then ordered the small, to compare. The small is perfect and comfortable. I returned the med one this morning. I love the fact that the brace itself is made of one piece. The first one I purchased in 2022, different brand, was two pieces put together, and broke within a few months. I've only had this one two days, but have worn it most of the time, and so far no major issues. It's very easy to use, and very happy so far. The piece between your finger and thumb is soft and non-irritating or uncomfortable. The rest of the brace is firmer and supports my arthritic thumb. Read more
After reading the reviews on this thumb brace I decided to order it. It was a game changer from the moment I put it on and I am so glad that I purchased it! It has been a game changer~I have been able to go about my day and do the things that I need to and remain pain free. This device is keeping my lower thumb area from the stress and strain of many tasks and it is already feeling much better! Top quality. This uses a design I've seen on others (not sure who copied who) where the front part (palm side) is made of hard rubbery material that is waterproof and the back side is a hook & loop strap. Since my hands always seem to be in water, this makes a tremendous difference since the back strap rarely gets wet. Also, the straps are sewn onto the hard rubber material not just glued or molded. This makes the device very sturdy. I'm assuming that it works in two ways: 1) it somewhat reduces your thumb's range of motion to prevent further injury and pain 2) it acts as a support to give extra strength for gripping Excellent design and product. The medium sized brace fits my medium sized hand perfectly. Of course, it's easily washable too. It comes with a thin fabric liner but I found I didn't need or want this liner because it would only get wet when washing my hands anyway. It also has a built-in metal band embedded in the hard rubber material but I found I didn't even need to adjust it. Read more
