At 5 months, water pressure will noticeably drop, and they will be god-awful filthy. 4 months is a probably decent reminder for swapping these. So... budget another 3-4 filter packs a year for general costs. But it's nice to have clean water for a change. Our county water is TERRIBLE (Cobb County, GA). Filled with silt. Really awful quality. This keeps our tankless water heater from needing semiannual flushes. Well worth the cost in the long run. Read more
