Heavy metal toxicity
I replaced my morning coffee with a homemade matcha late because I thought it was healthier. I was obviously wrong…I started getting headaches and vomiting randomly, so I did some testing through my doctor and discovered I had toxic levels of Cadmium, Cesium, and Thallium in my blood. We discussed possible sources, and she concluded the toxic metals were likely coming from the organic ceremonial grade matcha tea I was getting from Japan. Cesium and Thallium toxicity is extremely rare, but Cesium in particular has been discovered in matcha. Thankfully I caught it early, or I could’ve sustained long term damage.
