A perfect gift for a retired person!
I bought this for myself. My sleep hours can shift dramatically due to health issues, and I do get confused. I love just glancing at this clock, and I know if it is am or pm and the day of the week. It grounds me. Read more
Easy to read, great size
Unit is easy to read from across room, about 15 feet away. Sets above my TV and can see the day and time. The date (month/date/year) are smaller but still easy to make out. I like the layout (day, times of day, time, month, day, year) that is shown in white letters over black background. Only issue: gains about 1min every 6wks, requiring adjustment. Read more
Perfect for mom!
I got this for my mom after she woke up at 7 p.m. and thought it was 7 a.m., and started getting down on herself that she was losing her mind. The clock she had was a basic clock with no indicator for a.m. or p.m., so I thought about getting a digital clock with a dot to indicate a.m. or p.m., then I saw this! It's very clear to read from anywhere in her studio sized apartment, and you can stand it up like a photo or hang it on a wall, as long as there is an outlet nearby. Mom loves it and so do I! It’s a great clock. I was looking for a clock battery operated so I could move it around for my elderly mother. This is electric. I attached to wall near the table and she loves it. Large numbers and she lives that it says the date and day of the week. Read more
Older ones worked fine, Jan 2022 odd glitch makes product unusable
I have three of these around the house. They do a great job, very clear. On the oldest one (18 months) the screen died, so I bought a new one of exactly the same model from the same seller. This had a fault so I got a replacement & it had the same strange issue: it cannot show 1pm. If it is set to 1pm (or 13:00) it actually sets to 9pm (or 21:00). If it is set to another time, when it gets to 1pm it shows 9pm for that hour. I wouldn’t have thought it possible, but it does. Two in a row with the same weird issue suggests a faulty batch rather than a one-off. Read more
too bright for nighttime
I bought this for the bedroom. Even though I set the brightness to the lowest level (and choosing a white on black readout), the supposed auto brightness doesn't take it any lower and the result is way too much brightness for an otherwise dark bedroom. So I have to turn the unit off in order to sleep, which defeats the purpose of knowing the hour at any time. Also, adjusting the settings is difficult only because the instructions are inadequate. Once I figured out the necessary sequence of buttons, it wasn't hard. Otherwise, I like the clock: nice size, easy to read, useful information displayed. Read more
