I wasn't sure this bag would hold up to my daughter, but it's done amazingly. It's big enough to carry all of the random crap she stuffs in it. (She's OCD and autistic, so convincing her that everything she owns doesn't belong in her bag is useless.) This is the first bag that hasn't been destroyed within a month of ownership. She says the straps are comfortable and don't cut into her shoulders. There are no tears or holes, and the zipper still works perfectly after 4 months of being beaten and crammed full of anything my teen gets her hands on. She absolutely loves the galaxy pattern. It's not too young to follow her into high school or too old to not fit her personality. If you're looking for an item that can withstand your "destroyer" go with this brand! Read more

Love this beautifully designed backpack, perfect for my star-gazing, space obsessed daughter. So many pockets (helps with organization!), plus it is both lightweight and sturdy - easy for my daughter to carry. It also works well as a travel backpack - easy to keep under the airplane seat. Worth the price!! Read more

Jansport, you did it again. You made a solid backpack with an eye-catching design (mine is the blue cosmos print) and a solid build quality for a fair price. You've got me coming back for more, and by more I mean I had one growing up 25 years ago and now I bought one on Amazon as a jaded adult searching for an identity in life and expressing it through my choice of backpack. I've carried a lot of stuff in this bag, though I've never stress-tested it (I want it to last) but I will say keep sharp objects far away from this, and most other backpacks. Read more

Overall I'm really impressed with this backpack. It's a bit smaller than I expected, but it's actually a perfect size because it's compact and can fit a LOT of stuff. It has about 3 pockets in the front for utensils, which come real handy. I had an adidas backpack before and it's almost the exact same size. However, the big compartment in this backpack expands a lot. I'm actually able to fit a very thick, bulky 17.3" gaming laptop in it with little effort and it closes well. I wasn't able to do that with my last backpack. It looks very nice and I would totally recommend it for high school and college students. Read more

When I received it, I realized that there are 2 large main pockets. One is about 3 inches in depth, we put folders in that one, and one is about 5 inches in depth, we put all her books and notebooks, plus her flute in that one. The other 2 inches of "depth" must be in the smaller pockets. Good news is, although it doesn't actually look any bigger than her old backpack, at a glance--it's actually much larger and now she can also fit her sweatshirt and even PE shoes, when necessary. My 12 year old daughter does complain about the shoulder straps, but they are extra padded and ergonomically designed, so I tried it on and found it quite comfortable. Read more

Bought this Jansport backpack to travel with (and because nostalgia factor). It takes me back to the nineties and 00’s when I was a student. These backpacks really do hold up over time and daily use, and they hold a lot. I think I’ve only owned the superbreak ones; I was excited to get this one with all the additional pockets as I intend to travel with it. Let’s talk about the print: Galaxy 🌌. So beautiful and rich in color. I just want to stare at it. And I could see this being unisex for anyone, and for any age too. I will update after I’ve used if anything changes or goes wrong (though I doubt it). So far I’m very pleased! Read more

This family is a big fan of Jansport. They really do make the best quality student packs. My Son's Jansport pack from 7th grade is still going strong but just was not big enough to carry all the things a 10th grader needs. A school locker was not the solution since he still has to lug all the stuff to school and home again everyday. The answer was he needed a bigger pack. He carries 7 periods worth of school supplies and his lunch in this. And the boy that only likes grey and black loves this star field. It has enough divided spaces to stay organized but still be able to fit multiple large text books in. Read more

Gorgeous, very durable fabric. Roomiest backpack we've found without being bulky or heavy. My daughter has been using hers almost every day for college and travel since 2015 - it gets a lot of use - and it still looks new. She spilled a whole cup of coffee on it and it wiped right off - no stain. Just bought my son the galaxy print as he starts college, and apparently it's "so sick!" which apparently is a very good thing... ;) Read more
