These things are AWESOME!
I love these clippers! Finally, something that works, unlike the cheapo ones from the drugstores. I’ve purchased no name, clippers, and brand-name, clippers, and none of them work that well. These clippers are exceptionally well-made and exceptionally sharp. With the other clippers, I could almost feel the blade smashing or tearing the nail, whereas these clip through with a nice crisp snap…you can feel the blade slice cleanly. It’s hard to describe, but they are clearly superior. I did struggle with paying so much for a pair of nail clippers, but this should be the last pair I need to buy for the rest of my life… unless, somebody steals them because they’re so dang good. My wife borrows them all the time. I purchased the one with the flowers, rather than the samurai logo, because one, I’m comfortable in my manhood and don’t feel threatened by flowers on my nail clippers, and two, I’m not a samurai. So, flowers it is. Again, these are just top shelf quality.. I often lament that nothing is made like it used to be, but these are an exception to that statement. They are top notch, and made with the pride in craftsmanship like things used to be made. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a well made nail clipper. If someone has very petite hands or small nails, they might want to look for something slightly smaller. These are not overly large, but they are not small either. I’ve included a few photos, a couple with a penny for size comparison. Sometimes a known object is easier to compare with, as opposed to just a measurement number. Hopefully, this may help some in the decision-making process. Also, these do have a file built into the backside of the lever you depress when clipping. The file portion is plenty sharp and does a good job. A minor complaint would be that if you cut your nails short like I do, the file portion quite wide, which tends to drag across your fingertips and makes it a little difficult to file just the nail. These clippers do lack the typical narrow, swing-out nail file with a nice little nail cleaning hook on the end. I do have a separate metal file with a nail cleaning pointed tip that I use for that purpose. Just something to be aware of. Most of my reviews and my opinions are based on value, not just cost, and I would say these are a really good value. A little bit more money, but a superior product. Read more
