This is good, and solved a problem of my sink having nothing to stop debris from entering the drain. it does restrict the dran a little bit too much which is why it got a 4 star rating. After putting this in the sink starts fills up with water because it restricts the water entering the drain. I took the center plug out of it, and that was enough to let it drain fast enough. The quality does seem good, but I've only been using this for a few weeks. I will be surprised if it fails because of a quality issue. Read more
This sink stopper is a gem. My home is 38 years old and trying to find the sink stopper the builder used I cannot find. I'm watching my retired income and as of yet I am saving fund to get my bathroom vanities upgraded. In the interim this sink stopper is a remedy that really works. I didn't have to do any retro fitting whatsoever. With this sink stopper you just select the proper rubber gasket that comes with the stopper that will fit your sink drain whole and attach it to the back of the stopper and presto. I bought a 2 pack, one for my bathroom sink and one for my bathtub and they both fit and work great. My house is older and I have issues with old pipes clogging up and these catch everything. Easy to clean. Shiny so it looks nice. I'm very satisified with them. Read more
Choosing to use this item is like deciding between 6 and half a dozen. On the plus side, it is easier to unclog the sink stopper than getting down under the sink. It is very easy to remove and replace. On the negative side, you will have to clean the stopper a lot, because the slightest bit of debris will slow the draining process. I ignore the slow draining for as long as I can, but eventually have to deal with it, usually once a week. Cleaning it is not hard, but it is disgusting, since you will be emptying out all your own decayed bits of food, hair, etc. Then what? Are you going to pour it down the sink and get it clogged deeper down? What I do is put some water in a plastic container, rinse the stopper in the water and use an old toothbrush to brush away the gunk. Then I pour the contents into the toilet bowl, which can handle the minimal amount of waste. Then I rinse my plastic container and cover it with its lid. The container stays on the counter permanently. I think the manufacturer can make a few improvements. They can widen the mesh just a tad, they can make the stopper just a little longer so that there is more clearance between the top of the stopper and the drain to allow more water to drain down through the top of the mesh, which rarely gets clogged. This was easy to install and fit great on my older sink. As many other reviews mentioned, water drains slowly and then pools. If you lift the edge of the stopper up a little, the rest of the water will drain. Kind of annoying but it's better to have this than not and risk things falling down the drain. Our old stopper broke so this seems like a good solution. It was packaged well so the two stoppers wouldn't get scratched and they're made of solid material and shiny. Easy to remove and clean and does it's job of catching hair, etc. And a nice price too. Read more
Our sink was clogged due to hair and after we removed the hair the original stopper disintegrated. We were not able to reattach it so that it was functional. Forcing us to remove it completely so the sink could drain. Not sure about you but I do not like how a sink looks when you are looking down a drain : ( I found this sink stopper online and it works perfectly and looks like it was the original stopper. I ordered some for my other bathrooms in the case that happens to us again and I was tickled pink that it came in other colors. Love it! ***** Read more
Drains slowly when open (unless I have setting wrong) fits and seals well as a stopper. Works as stated. Thus far Would buy again Read more
