This is a very solid and robust clipper. I was actually really excited seeing these clippers in person, as the jaws are so much bigger than any cuticle trimmer I’ve owned or came across before as a cosmetologist. That excitement quickly faded into disappointment once I actually tried using it on my own toenail… I use dedicated (old) cuticle trimmers to clip toenails, which work quite well and generally with ease. I do not have thick toenails so I was expecting these particular clippers to work just as well, if not better, than my normal tools. Unfortunately, not only are these a bit more stiff when squeezing, it actually seemed to have a harder time cutting through my nail for whatever reason. They do seem to be quite sharp though, and I am optimistic that they will be good for thicker toenails (hence the 4 stars I’m still giving this product), with which smaller clippers may struggle. Though not as easy to use as smaller ones, these clippers are solid and seem to be very durable. I also appreciate that it comes with both a storage pouch as well as a cover for the jaws. Read more
