My wife is 5'2" and went with the size XL based on the size chart — it ended up being a perfect fit. She likes her dresses to have a bit of room without feeling oversized, and this one hits that balance really nicely. The elastic waist gives it some shape while keeping it comfortable, and she really loves that it doesn’t cling in the wrong places. The material feels soft and warm, almost like her favorite sweater but with a bit more structure. I really like this dress- almost. First off, I ordered an X-Large based on my bust measurement (39") and while it fis great across the bust area, it loses it from there south. Now, I know a babydoll is supposed to be snug across the bust and flare out from there but that's not quite how this dress flows. It's about halfway between an empire waist and a regular waist and when I first put it on, it's fairly comfortable but as I start walking around, the waistband rides up until it's almost an empire waist and the hem is significantly higher than I like. The elastic waistband is also uncomfortable and distracting when it's riding up my rib cage. Granted, I'm 5'9" tall and I know that's part of it but from the pictures, I didn't think it would ride up that badly. Also, the sleeves don't make it to my wrists nor are they 3/4 length; they end about 3" from my wrist and it just looks awkward. Nevertheless, It's a very nice, mid- to heavyweight knit that makes the dress feel heavy on the hanger but it's not too bad once it's on and the burgundy is a nice, rich shade. It's a warm dress as well and would probably be great for winter with tights and/or high boots. Since the hem is folded over, I can go ahead and shorten it to wear with leggings and get some use out of it. If the waist would just stay in place! Read more

I'm 5'7" 180lbs Usually, size L clothing I AM IN LOVE!!! This sweater dress is absolutely wonderful. The material is so incredibly soft and comfortable. It has a nice very warm fuzzy feel to it on the inside and looks like it will last quite a while. The color is beautiful, and design is so cute. The ruffles aren't too big and best of all POCKETS! The pockets are actually really big, maybe a little too much material, but luckily, I can fix that with my sewing machine easily. No one else would probably notice, this is just personal preference. The dress gives a lovely shape and even though it's got some poof at the bottom, my waist is shown off nicely. I am a bit worried about the elastic inside at the waist. It is simply one little thin piece of elastic, that they've not finished tucking the stitch at one end. I do have a smaller mid-section, so it shouldn't cause me any issues, but I do look at those things when purchasing garments. I am a huge fan of the length on this dress. I would consider myself more modest and I try to keep things about knee length or just above. This dress hits mid to lower thigh just above my knee. That also allows for this to be a dress or be worn with some leggings and many types of boots. I'm able to move freely in this dress with no restriction. I can see myself wearing it out to dinner, work, a party, and even coming home and staying in it to lounge in winter because it's that comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend! Read more

This is a wonderful dress for fall/winter. The material of the dress is extraordinarily well made and soft. It is very thick and warm. This dress will be super cute with either low booties (in fall) or knee high boots (during winter). The ruffle detail of the dress adds an extra layer of cuteness. The pockets are a perfect size and well built in. I have to go back to the material of the dress as it is really well made. And the stitching/elastic waistband are seemingly indestructable. In addition, it is really cute on. It's short but no too short. Sometimes babydoll dress shapes can be boxy but this dress is extremely flattering on. Read more
