I have been using this scale for about 7 months now and it works well. I use it in the same spot on a hardwood floor every time I step on and haven't got any fluctuations in all this time. My sister used it several times and said that it did have different weights for her, but I can only speak for myself and that is not my experience. If you turn the volume all the way up everyone nearby will hear what you weigh, so I keep it in the middle range. I really appreciate how wide the scale is because as I had gained weight a lot of it went to my inner thighs which makes my stance wider. It's a very nice looking scale, wide enough for him to balance better. The feature of announcing the weight is perfect and super easy, as with prior scales he would lean over to try and read the scale and start to wobble, now he doesn't even have to look. This scale is easy to use and I love that it tells me my weight instead of having to get down to look at the results since I have rather poor vision. Not only have I weighed myself, but I used it to weigh my 2 dogs and 2 cats. I like that it is a bigger size which makes it easier to stand on it. I love the concept of this scale. I don't weigh myself every day, maybe once a week if that I have discovered that I don't get consistent readings. I have tried 3 different places in my home trying to test this theory. I get different readings in all 3 places. Even re-weighing in the same location, same stance, same foot placement it will still give me 2 different readings. Happened in all 3 places. I have been doubting my scales accuracy because I don't believe it is giving me accurate readings. For example I weighed in the morning at 1 weight and weighed that night and it was the exact same weight reading. So that is when I started moving the scale to different places. I googled what the problem might be. I changed the batteries -- no changes. The next thing I'm going to try is putting my dumbell weights on it and see if they accurately weigh them as I know those weights are true and accurate. I love that it talks to me. I have balance issues so it is hard to stand still without holding on to the door frame. I couldn't hear the scale at first, I then discovered a volume button now I can hear it just fine. Since it is a low step up to get on the scale it does not affect my balance and I feel secure stepping up on it. I don't know what happened to the manual that came with it so I googled online and there is no manual for this specific model. I also want to get another scale and compare them side by side. My favorite thing about the scale other than it talking to me (which I rely on) is the wide scale fits in proportion to my size. That and it max weight is really high up there. Although I'm not even close to it's max weight that was a winner in my book. Get the scale take a chance, your experience will be different than mine for sure. No other problems for me other and than calibration which the scales say they calibrate each time you wake it to weigh. Read more

This is a great scale. The speaking feature can be in the off or on mode. I leave it on. I love the speak mode. My only issue with this scale was that I had a difficult time getting the battery cover off to insert the batteries. I've been very pleased with its function. Read more
