I've had the 9.1 for 4 years (so basically when you amortize the cost of it was less than $1 a day for using it) and really enjoyed it and thought it was time to upgrade after reading some of the reviews of this system. Bottom line; is it worth the upgrade? Definitely yes. Basically the surround is much more expansive and sophisticated. While the 9.1 had the rear surrounds sort of in your face in terms of volume the upgrade has them much more subtle because of all the extra speakers in the front The rear is just now compliment the soundstage rather than pushing it. So at first when you set it up and listen you'll think that the rears are very much underpowered but they aren't especially when you have a good atmos source where when they really shines with overhead effects and behind your effects being much more noticeable. Also the increase in the size of the subwoofer enables you to have incredible bass if you want the volume really loud but for me it's more important to have the base come through at lower volumes which this does and which I wasn't able to get on the 9.1. Always add to pump up the volume on that one which made it too loud for the rest of the house. Overall I'm extremely happy that I did this and with my 100-inch Hisense in my 16x6 theater room it's like being at the movies. and after several more days of listening to this I'm not really appreciating the expanded sound stage compared to the 9.2. The JBL 1300XMK2 is exactly the upgraded soundbar system I've been wanting. I currently have the JBL 1000 soundbar and I couldn't wait for Black Friday sale to take advantage. Its a powerful 1300W system with a huge 12" wireless subwoofer that can shake the house down, 2 wireless detachable rechargeable surround speakers and the amazing technology front speakers with 11.1.4 Dolby Atmos plus more. What else do you want me to say? I absolutely love it! Anyone interested or thinking about one: without a doubt, buy it! Read more

This is our first true surround sound system, and we absolutely love it. After years of using big box store soundbars with subwoofers and being consistently disappointed, this setup has completely blown us away. The functionality is intuitive, the build quality feels excellent, and the size fits our space perfectly without feeling overwhelming. The volume and clarity are outstanding, easily filling the room without distortion. There is no going back to our old ways now. Read more

Definitely better than I could imagine! The wireless rear speakers are not only great for the surround sound but also great as portable speakers for your phone that you can put anywhere! Great battery life on them as well. The subwoofer will shake the house if you want it to! Movie night has become a nightly thing now that we have sound that helps us capture the movie we are watching! Read more

The media could not be loaded. The JBL 1300XMK2 11.1.4 channel soundbar is just what I needed. Old Sony 123 system but the dust. This is beautiful. I would recommend this unit as it has wireless break away rear speakers and the JBL app is really nice. Volume was at 17 which is midway. TV and football games are much better as well. Gogetchusum!!! Works very well. Not a replacement for a true wired separate surround sound system, but if you are looking for minimalist design with good bass and clear vocals. This Amish a great system for the money. Highly recommend. Read more
