The speaker is overall awesome. Great sound quality with an incredible bass for such a small size. The wifi connection is very nice, you may listen to the same music on multiple speakers, even if they are not the very same model, and you don't need your phone as you can stream music directly to the speaker - I do that on a daily basis. Battery life is very good, It haven't gone zero yet even though I listen several days with no charging. The one I bought was already used and almost half price of a new one (I believe JBL it's not selling the wifi model any longer). I was a little concerned with the overall condition and battery life, but it ended up being a great deal since the product was just perfect, like a new one (no even dust or scratches, 10 hours of previews usage only). Therefore, I strongly recommend the JBL Charge 5 wi-fi and I would really consider buying a renewed / open box product again. Read more

I accidentally bought the model with the Wi-Fi function. Once I figured it out, I was blown away. It's basically another smart speaker in my house, so I can play the same stuff everywhere, and NOW I can take it to the backyard without installing outdoor speakers, running wires, hooking up another amp, yadda yadda. And it obviously works as a Bluetooth speaker. And it's got killer bass too, even dipping into sub-bass territory. 10/10 would recommend. Read more

Was hoping to have this great speaker to pair up with my Boombox 3 via Party Boost but the fact WiFi version doesn’t have it. This is kinda bad for that extra money paid and doesn’t have the whole package….BTW AirPlay it with my smartTV they don’t sync at the same time…one was a beat behind it ends like echoing all the time. So, if you are looking for synchronize via Party Boost get the cheaper version not the WiFi. Read more

I realize it’s a refurb, but its Bluetooth is horrible. Constant static. I have other Bluetooth speakers that have no problem. If it’s reconditioned, they missed a lot. Read more

Good sound, especially with available app to adjust Bass, mid level and treble frequencies. Need to keep an eye on battery life which is good but not great before requiring recharge. Read more

OK, so here's what I did. I plugged these in in my backyard under the patio awning and all I have to do is unplug them and scatter them around the yard to have full on surround sound from my patio TV. It is glorious! The JBL app even recognizes That I have four speakers set up and asks me how much power it wants me to put to each one of them. It treats the two in the back as surround sound speakers. I honestly didn't know that when I bought this but knowing it now, I am so glad I bought four of these. You could spend a lot more on outdoor speakers. Read more
