Likes: Although this JBL Partybox 310 was “renewed”, the only way I could tell was by the orange “feet?” on the sides that where a little dark because the unit was most like used in a horizontal configuration. Kudos to the seller for packaging it as if it were a brand new product. It was clean and came with everything that it would have in the box if you bought it new. Sound: 8 out of 10! Very good for a portable unit. I listen to a lot of Hip Hop, EBM, & Techno, so a few of the deep bass drops (probably about 10% of them) were not reproduced like on my dedicated home theater subwoofer, but it sure did hold its own with a lot of the music my wife and I pumped through it! Including some Metal & 80’s hair bands! I use the “Punchy” bass setting for Metal, Rock, ect., but “Deep” for Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, EBM, Techno, and other electronic music. Lights: 8 out of 10! The light show is pretty cool, but I do wish it had more preset options in addition to the 5 it has in the app (yes, it has an app so that you can remotely control it with two separate Bluetooth devices/cell phone's simultaneously). There is a manual setting but I personally like their presets in the app. USB: 7 out of 10! The ability to throw a bunch of MP3’s or WMA’s on a USB “thumb drive” (do we still call them that?) is very cool, but with some caveats. 1. The drive MUST be formatted in Fat32. It will not read exFat, and I have not tested NTFS. I also have not tested it’s ability to play WMA’s. A lot of my music is purchased through iTunes and I really wish it read AAC files, but in my testing it does not (the manual tells you precisely what files it will read). App: 8 out 10! I really like the additional “DJ Sound” sound board built into the speaker and the app. I like using the “Horn” when something that’s really pumping is playing! Not to mention it has a 1/4 Microphone Jack in the back but I have not yet tested it. One wish I have for this app is that it would tell me the name of the song playing from the USB drive. Song file information would be a great addition! With Bluetooth you can always switch to the app on your device to see what the name of the song is, but not so with USB playback. If they could somehow add that via a firmware update that would be awesome! Portability: 10 out 10! Honestly, I haven’t taken it anywhere because I really like it in its current pristine condition! However, the battery life from my heavy, heavy use was anywhere from 6 to 7hrs with lights and “Bass Boost” + the EQ in the app set at full bass. I don’t know if they replaced the battery with a brand new one, but I’d say I’m pleased with the battery life so far. What I love most in addition to the battery life is the retractable luggage handle and the wheels. Now that’s pretty cool for helping to move it because it’s not a light unit! Seller: 10 out of 10!!! The unit came one day early and arrived in excellent condition! Apologies for not writing this review sooner, but I really wanted to put this “renewed” unit through its paces, and so far it’s exceeded my expectations. Even my wife (the harshest judge ever) gives the seller AND the unit two thumbs up!!! Read more

I got this for $330 Nov 2023, and I think it was an amazing deal. My intended use for this was 50% to use in an indoor pool room because of the IPX4 splashproof rating, and 50% outdoors with my wife and I or with friends. Turns out I now even use it indoors while I'm working, or when hosting people, or just for general music anytime. It's just that convenient and good sounding. For the pool area I haven't had any issues with splashing or humidity. It's been great to use in there. Outdoors I haven't had any issues with water from rain either, but it's only lightly rained on it once. I did not update the software as I've heard that can ruin the bass. The software has functioned without issue for me. It's has adjustable EQ, powerful bass and does rattle my walls in my house. The sound carries well inside. I really only use it at like 25%, sometimes 50% inside my house. Outdoors it's loud and is more than enough if it's a smaller gathering. For real, unless you're a DJ, it's perfect outside too. My neighbors will absolutely compaln if I run this even at 50% outside. However, for a real outdoor party scene where you're a DJ being paid to shake the earth, I can see how you might want two of these, or two of the next model up. The battery lasts a long time. Idk how long because I tested it and used it for hours, for days in a row, and it didn't get below 40%. That was good enough for me since I can plug it in whenever. The carry handle does feel a little loose, it's awkward to lift vertically, and the wheels have low clearance, but that's really not an issue at all. It rolls well for being so heavy and powerful, and I am capable of lifting it fine if needed. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I bought two of these to pair in stereo. I thought I was just getting a small upgrade from my ion 270º speaker I use outside. I was severely underestimating the power of two Party Box 310's paired together. I cannot listen to these speakers past 45% volume without disturbing my neighbors. I have to turn the bass down through the EQ on the app so that it isn't heard outside of my house. When you do turn it up, it truly can recreate an at home DJ/rave experience. The bass adjustment can be punchy or deep and as loud as you need. Every window in my house begins to shake when it's turned up to 75%. The Party Box 710 and 1000 must be reserved for extremely large spaces where you need to pump out an immense amount of sound and bass. The speakers are about as tall as a desk and do have a good amount of weight to them. The rollers help. Right out of the box they had a software update available through the Party Box app which was nice to see JBL was supporting them. I have two JBL Flip 5's which sometimes have connection issues and app connection issues when listening in stereo. These issues are not present with the PartyBox 310's thus far after a week of use. I bought these "renewed" through Sound Distributors Inc. store, I don’t see any evidence that they were previously used. The manuals both were wrapped from factory on them. Maybe they were used as a demo model. I've yet to test a full day of battery use on them but from what I've seen so far I have no doubt they'd last a good 5 hours, maybe longer, which is really all you need. The fact that these are as powerful as they are, and still portable, is amazing. In terms of connection, Bluetooth, USB, and AUX are all options and all of them can be used while also using the app to control lights and other functions like wireless stereo pairing. The RGB lights are a great added function for parties late at night, the additional strobe LEDs are even better. The tweeter clarity is exactly what you'd expect from JBL. No obvious distortion and gets plenty loud. Read more
