Beyond expectations and highy impressed!
Rarely have I been this impressed with a product. With no reviews at the time of my purchase, I wasn't sure what I'd get, but I loved the look. What I received matched the description exactly - a beautiful minimalist bag Organization: - 2 small zippered outside pockets. These can hold phone sized objects if you want to close it. Because the pockets are not expandable, if you pack the bag's main compartment full, you'd be hard pressed to fit anything like a water bottle in there. - 1 flat, larger pocket on the back that you can slip flat/slim items in. - 1 lightly padded laptop sleeve on the back - it can fit my 16 inch Macbook pro comfortably. The top closure is velcro on an elastic ribbon - 1 medium zippered pocket on the opposite side to the front of the bag. Note: I don't think the side pockets could ever accept a larger water bottle like a Nalgene. I'd say no larger than your common plastic bottle found in stores. Material: - The material is heavy duty and waterproof - The olive color is a very dark army green - Stitching is even and looks strong Straps: - Have four loops you can use to close the bag - Are loosely sewn, not attached all the way down as I'd thought from pictures Note: The plus of this is that it is super easy to attach thing sto them if needed and since this is a minimalist bag, I could see that happening. I'm not sure they would deform or break from this type of wear, but they seem strong. Capacity: - Medium-large Note: This is relative. It is a slim pack, but can hold surprisingly a lot for how slim it is. Inside, I have a wristlet/wallet, powerbank, portable charger, makeup pouch, toiletry bag, snack/small lunch bag and large water bottle - besides my computer and a file folder to carry paper so it doesn't get wrinkled. Outside I am using one outside pocket for phone and the other for an umbrella. You could get more in there, but I think you'd have to start packing vertically and the top two snaps might be more difficult to close. Review: I think this bag looks a lot more expensive than it actually is and I've since discovered that it is highly inspired by a more expensive foreign branded bag, but improves upon by offering more functionality, though less colorways. The straps are better padded, there is a trolley sleeve with extra pocket and an additional chest strap. While very nice, I think those are better suited to the larger version of this bag, since they seem travel-oriented to help distribute the weight of larger loads. I've stowed my shoulder straps with velcro strap fastener that I had since this is an everyday carry. I was afraid the two top side snaps at either side of the bag would be hard to close and while they did turn out to be a point of annoyance, if I line them up correctly, they work fine. They would definitely impede someone who liked to overpack and you can leave them open of course, but I attribute them to the clean style. I similarly thought the hooks to close might be difficult to use, but I surprisingly actually like them and don't fit it hard at all. I favor flap closures in case I need say take off a jacket - I can stow it under the flap inside of having to carry it in my arms or tie it around my waist. My previous everyday bag used magnetic snaps here and it was actually more annoying if you forgot to close them since it would clang as you walked and you couldn't really opt to carry anything too large since the magnets would pop open. No such issue here and the four adjustment loops offer versatility. I would like to note that in the images, the logo looks white to me. It's actually a a dark vinyl-like logo with some sheen that blends much better! I'll update this review after more time passes with the bag, but I am very glad I took the plunge - more so everyday as I'm finding new ways I can use it! Read more
