Only downside is the pattern is not mirrored, so when the little one closes it. It can (very easily) be put on the wrong way and forced closed in the wrong orientation, damaging the seal. This is the second of these boxes that I bought, just to have a different color. It is inexpensive, compared to others, and works just fine. I spent hours searching for a bento box that would work for our 14-, 13-, and 9-year-old boys. Most of them are either too small and don't hold enough food, or they don't have compartments that seal off from one another. This is the best bento box! It holds a sandwich made on wide-pan bread or a wrap made with a burrito sized tortilla, which is hard to find. My middle kiddo loves meat, cheese, and romaine lettuce sandwiches and most bento boxes are too shallow to hold that big of a sandwich. We've been using them every day since the school year started this year, which is almost a month now. Our kids have been very happy with them. The lids are easy to clip and unclip and we haven't had any issues with compartments leaking into one another. These lunch boxes are awesome, I even bought a second one. Truly leak proof around the edge and in between compartments so when I put stuff like yogurt or sauces in there they don’t leak. Easy to use and easy for my son to open. It can go in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. Great colors too! Read more

Come back to add- I have now purchased a second one for my son. Literally my kids love this one way more than any of the expensive ones I’ve gotten. I’m disabled and it helps to have many so if I’m having a bad pain or flair day, I can throw together a lunch in a new box. You can’t beat the price. Fits so much more than the $44 bento I got my son years ago. I might come back and buy 3-4 more! They are that good. Got this for my 6 year old granddaughter. It’s got a lot of room which makes it easier for me to put more in her lunch. More variety l. We haven’t had any leaking at all. Super easy for her to open and close.
