Solid build quality arrived fully assembled. It should hold up overtime. High polished looks premium. This one has 8X magnification, which is perfect for normal use like shaving but 5X might be better. I don’t think any higher magnification would work too well for that. Also, I chose one without a built-in light because I have plenty of light in my bathroom and more parts makes it heavier and more things to malfunction. The joints can be tightened if they get loose. I see there are two clear bushings on the joints holding the mirror that can slip out which would make it loose. I made sure to push them in so that won’t happen. I have purchased 3 of these over the years. I like the degree of magnification. I can see my face well for tweezing and makeup application. There is no blurring or distortion. The problem is, the anchors and screws that come with it are not sufficient to hold the movable weight of the mirror. It really needs to be installed in a stud with screws, which is what I did after attempting to install it in the drywall with the anchors and screws supplied.
