I’ve used JESLED lights for years because they’ve always been reliable, and this new model continues that trend with a few things worth noting. The first thing you notice is how lightweight it is. The entire housing is plastic, which makes installation extremely easy, especially if you’re hanging it overhead by yourself. The tradeoff is that it doesn’t feel particularly heavy‑duty, so if you’re looking for a more rugged or premium build, this might not be it. The linking function works exactly as advertised. Connecting multiple units is straightforward, and everything powers up consistently without flickering or delay. There’s a switch on the power cord, but the switches on the fixture itself are only for adjusting color temperature and brightness output. Once you understand which switch does what, it’s simple to use. It’s also ETL listed, which I appreciate for peace of mind. JESLED has always been dependable for me, and this unit fits that pattern. They've been so good as lights, that I'm replacing my much sturdier garage lights with these. One design choice that matters depending on your setup is the lack of a reflector. The LEDs shine in all directions, which can be great if you want broad, even illumination across a room. On the other hand, if you prefer more focused downward light, you may find that some of the output is wasted or spreads farther than you want. As for brightness, the 30 watt setting feels closest to what you’d get from a standard two‑tube fluorescent fixture. It’s bright enough for a garage or workshop without being harsh. Overall, it’s a lightweight, easy‑to‑install light with good functionality and the reliability I expect from JESLED. Just be aware of the all‑plastic build and the wide light spread before deciding if it fits your space. On another note, when you open it, make sure you look in the box - the hanging chain is kinda hiding in there. Overall, this is a definite recommend from me at this price. Read more

I ordered this to replace a fluorescent fixture in my basement work area. I've been gradually replacing them with LED alternatives. This is a very interesting fixture - there is no shade at all - just three tubes - see the photos. I think that's fine for an LED fixture - no need to focus the light downward, but it does tend to light-up the ceiling above it since there is no shade. There are a number of really useful features on this fixture. First, the cord has a standard US plug on the end, and it is 4 ft long. There's an inline switch if you want to control it separately from a wall switch, but the inline switch is mechanical so that if you leave it on, it will work with a switched outlet just fine. The end of the fixture has settings for power (30W, 40W, 50W) if you need to tune the brightness based on the space and to match other fixtures. It also has a switch to choose the color temperature from 4000K to 5000K to 6500K. I started with 4000K since I like light to be a bit warmer, but ended up using 5000K to match another fixture with fixed color temperature. Finally, there's an outlet on the end of so that you can daisy-chain more fixtures off the 1st one. Really good product and well worth the price. Read more

I really like this light. So much that I ordered two more for my garage while ago. I had two 'shop lights' that I purchased from Wally World in special a while back. The LEDs are exposed and are bad about sending out color 'bands' where the edges of the LEDs put out less than white light. Those are terrible for painting. These totally fix that problem I was having. The frosted/white cover over the LEDs even out the color coming out of the light so the output is so much more even on what you're working on. Plus, some up the light goes up and reflects off the ceiling as indirect light, which is great for reducing shadows. So I'm very happy with the output and color quality of this light. Negatives: The switches are pretty finicky on the end of the light. There is a switch for color output, warm LEDs, cool LEDs, or both for neutral color. For some reason, there is also a switch for the total lumen output, too. Both switches are a little bit hard to select one of the 3 settings for each. Luckily, once you play with them a bit and decide what color you want, and brightness, you probably won't have to mess with the switches again. So that's a minor negative. The second negative is the way they hang from the included chains. There's a two prong hook that attaches to the light, but only gives one point to hang the chain at. Luckily my light hangs very level, but I could see where in situations where the power cord pulls on the fixture a little, it may make it hang less than level. You do have the option to screw it directly to a ceiling though. LEDs typically don't throw light far very well, so you'll probably want to use the chains. At the same time, this light does throw light pretty well. Enough I'm replacing my shop lights with more of these. Two will adequately light a two car garage, but four is better if your garage is also you workshop. 6-8 lights would be needed if you want laboratory level lighting. For a deeper comparison, it would take about 3 of these lights to equal an 8' T8 HO shop light, and would probably be about the same price. In my picture, you can see the middle light is this product, versus the other two exposed led type lights from Wally world. Those other two lights are going to be replaced with these. Currently priced at $36 for one, this is a good value. When I ordered this one, it was just $20 and a steal at that price. So I got the 2pack on my second order, which brought them down to about $22ea, which I still think is a good value. All in all, this is a great budget shop light that is very versatile. Read more
