Vintage Bloom is named perfectly as it does have a very floral smell reminiscent of vintage perfumes. It opens up with an almost overwhelming floral and astringent scent, but it settles into my skin and sweetens and darkens a bit. Almost floral AND woodsy. It’s beautiful and unique, and I’m always getting compliments. The modern, über sweet, vanilla-based scents couldn’t be more different. I’m not saying they’re bad, but they are very different. This scent is feminine, intimate, and leaves an impression. I love how unique it is, as the older, more “classic” floral scents are just not for me. They’ve always reminded me of concentrated baby powder and (I’m sorry) old women. This beautiful perfume is perfect. It’s delicate. And it evolves, throughout the day, as you wear it. At every stage, it snatches your attention and you want to smell it again, because there’s just *something* about it that is irresistible. I hope and pray that I’ll be able to keep buying my signature scent for years and years to come, but I’m worried it’s going extinct. Read more

It it’s very light scent and needs a couple applications over the day. When on the skin it does not smell nearly as floral as the bottle has more of a lemon, flower and musk smell, it makes me think of shabby chic designs. Read more

This is my favorite perfume!!! Smells so good! Its a nice size bottle too! I read other complaints about the smell not lasting long enough, but you have to expect that for how much the perfume costs. Its a very inexpensive perfume. Also, I on the other hand don't mind it not being too strong. I prefer to not have an overwhelming perfume smell that lingers all day (that would give me a headache). Jessica Simpson's Vintage Bloom was requested by my daughter as a Christmas present after she'd gotten a "sample" in Seventeen Magazine. She had been wearing a Juicy perfume - which personally I couldn't stand. So, being the spoiler of the family - I bought her a 1.7 oz just so she could try it. This perfumes ROCKS! It smells great on my tiny little 17 year old daughter. It's fresh, and clean and makes her feel so pretty. She's a gorgeous girl and a gorgeous scent that is all her own. It's not popular with any of the other girls she goes to school with - which is PERFECT! So many of her peers have asked her what makes her smell so good . . . she says it's "HER scent".
