The media could not be loaded. This cool looking Disney Villains scooter features images of Cruella, Hook, Scar, Hades, and Ursula; and a series of lights on the sides. Setup was very easy; it involved just unboxing everything, attaching the handlebar pole, and screwing in two screws to secure the handlebars in place. Then you just plug in and charge the scooter until the light turns green on the power adapter. It took less than two hours to charge to full the first time. The kids had no trouble getting used to this scooter, even though the design is somewhat unique. You first push off and start moving like a regular scooter, then press a large power button with your foot which engages the motor. The power button is the large black button toward the front of the platform where you put your feet. The motor stays engaged as long as your foot is on that button. There is also a standard scooter brake over the back wheel, which you can press on with your foot to slow down and come to a stop. The brake both physically slows the wheel and also disengages the motor. This scooter seems sturdy enough, it has held up well so far. The handlebar height is adjustable by about 4 inches up and down. There is no kickstand, which is odd but not a big deal. It is not as fast as some other electric scooters that we have tried, so it might be a good introductory electric scooter for around 8 years old. This is an outstanding kid's scooter that doesn't look like a typical little-kid scooter. The Disney Villains design is fun and has a pre-teen vibe to it. The lights look awesome, bright without looking cheesy. They are well done. The smaller size of this scooter, being meant for kids, also means a smaller battery. The listed range is about 4 miles per charge, so something to keep in mind when deciding where this will be ridden. Adult scooters tend to have larger batteries and can go quite a bit further. So if you're getting this to ride with your kids, just know the smaller scooters usually can't do the same range per charge as the adult ones. Overall it rides really well. The battery charges quickly and everything works on it how it should. No problems with it being underpowered at all. It doesn't seem to struggle going up hills. I bought one from Amazon for my grand son. He loved it . It was easy to put together and was pretty fast . Only thing is he left it out uncovered and it never worked again . Then I bought one for my 6 year old son from Walmart and he loved this product also only thing is he was riding it through a mud puddle after rain and the front wheels flew off and it would not go. I got this for my nephew who is 8, and also got him safety gear which was good because the very first time he was riding it, he got overconfident and wiped out. Luckily, he only had a scrape but nothing serious. But it just goes to show how important it is to make sure your kid is aware of the risks that come with riding a scooter so they don't get seriously injured. The scooter comes pretty much assembled out of the box, you just gotta charge the battery for a few hours and then it's ready to go. I really like the lighting on the scooter not only does it look cool but it makes the rider more visible as well. Another nifty feature is the small motor that after getting a kick start will boost the scooter up to 10mph which is plenty fast for a kids scooter. Overall, this is a great scooter for kids if they have proper safety attire because scooters can be dangerous, as my nephew quickly found out.
