I love the convenience of being able to do my nails at home instead of booking appointments, saving both time and money. The nails turn out looking great and last really well too. Super easy to use!! My 10 year old can do a full set all on her own! If you’re a beginner or just want an easy at-home option, this kit is perfect. Highly recommend! Read more

The media could not be loaded. This is my first time working with poly gel, and I'm not an expert or professional, but I have done my own nails for awhile-- so this is just based on purely experience: I was very satisfied with the product. I recommend watching videos of people applying and using poly gel, and some tutorials on easy do's and don't's; it helped me out a ton. The tubes of poly gel are small, but I believe that is really because this is a starter kit, so you get smaller tubes but more variety in color, as well as all the accessories (a pretty good bundle for just playing with it until you get good at it, lots of stuff comes with). By my guesstimate when using the poly gel, I would say (this also alloting for wasted product if you're a beginner, because you will end up wasting some until you get a feel for it) one tube has enough product for a full set of nails. HOWEVER: when I say this, I mean a more modest and traditional set that extends only 3 cm beyond the tips of the fingers. If you are like me and prefer long silletos (and its your first time, so remember that product waste thing), it's going to cost about two and a half tubes. The poly gel cures well and hard, so long as you leave the nail beneath the lamp for the full amount of time (the lamp automatically shuts off when time is up). If you're making longer/thicker nails, I would say cure twice to be safe. The poly gel, once cured, does well under a file for shaping and correcting. Here's my finished product!!! (Obviously nail polish and charms are not included, from my own supply). ((Also, ignore my busted stained up tape measure)). Read more

I got this in the mail yesterday and decided to get right to work because I saw in the reviews that it took others around 4-5 hours to complete a set. Thankfully it only took me about 2 hrs! This set comes with literally everything you need. Products are all pretty good quality and I’ve had no issues (course I’ve only used it once though lol) It’s difficult to work with polygel if you are 100% a beginner. I watched TikTok tutorials before I even started, that way I’d have a better idea of the process. HELPED A TON! A couple issues I ran into was that the nail sizers (can’t remember what they are called) didn’t fit my thumbnail. Even the biggest size was too small. I will say I have wider nail beds so it’s been a struggle with press-on nails in the past. But I do think that’s why the polygel seeped out more around my nail edges…I do wish they had more size variety. There were only 9 different sizes which seemed few considering press-on nails usually go up to 15+ different sizes. The other issue I had was the nail sizer/polygel wouldn’t stay on my nail bed before curing under the lamp. It kept falling and pulling up off the nail and if it did that while under the uv lamp than it would create air bubbles/pockets with missing gel. I’m assuming that’s user error but wanted to include that in the review so others can be aware that it might happen. Overall my advice would be to not expect to be a pro at it the first couple times, and don’t expect it to come out perfect either. I did slowly get better with each nail I did, just by getting used to the technique and learning how much of the gel to use. The kit does comes with regular nail clippers but I think I’ll eventually buy the nail clippers meant for acrylic nails (where you can cut long nails down in one clip) again can’t remember the actual name of those. Because it took quite some time to clip and file the gel down to a length and shape I was used to. I also love the color variety and can’t wait to try more colors! The ones I did was in the white shade, came out more clear than white but I’m still happy with it! The tubes of gel had a decent amount in them too which was nice…definitely hard to squeeze out though. Anyways the nails look great from a distance but when you get close and really ''look” at them than they definitely look less professional 😂 but either way I love that they should last about 3 weeks without any issues! After living with press-on nails for years this will be really nice!! Maybe I’ll update this in a few weeks with how the nails held up! Read more

Overall, it works. The nail formers aren’t my thing but that’s because I’m not the greatest with forming shapes. The light works well. The black filers work but leave a residue so I’d invest in another one - that’s bigger too. The cuticle oil I was having an issue with getting any out. The polygel isn’t bad, but from viewing other polgels on YouTube (nails by Vic), I’d invest another. It can be a bit runny, so I personally had to do one nail at a time (while Vic could do them all). It can also be very sticky. I’ll show where I started to where I am now (it’s been a journey lol). Unfortunately I didn’t get a close up pic of my blue set, which was the beginning of the peak of my skills. Read more
