This item isn't the name brand but I feel like it gives me a good idea of what the name brand is. Sure, this product is supposedly noisier which Indeed it is but, I feel the burn, it gets me active, it seems strudy like it will last a little while, it is fun to use as well. This is a plastic material with a weight that's attached to the plastic ring that clips around your waist. The ring has removable links dependent upon what size your waist is with the goal being to lose weight and in turn removing links. The color is a pale sky blue. Overall, especially for the price (in comparison to the original brand name) I would probably buy this again but I think it is sturdy enough to last a while. I am trying to keep on a regimen of 5min per hula hoop session. As I gain more muscle and become healthier I will hold myself to a higher standard. Also, its a nice tool to throw on and use while watching TV ads and waiting for your favorite show to come on...regardless of whatever pathway you take, remember, you will get there one step at a time- wish you all luck on your weight loss/muscle gain/healthy transitions. I loved hula hoops as as kid and this is just as fun! It's easy to get the perfect fit with the adjustable track. For me it works best when it fits snugly over a shirt; I get a great workout with minimal skin irritation. If you have long hair, make sure to tie up your hair so it isn't in the way of the track. The hoop is super stable and stays secure when using it, but it is still easy to take on and off. I love this weighted hula hoop! Read more
This weighted hula circle hoop is actually a lot more practical than a traditional hula hoop, especially if you’re a beginner. The 24 detachable links make it easy to customize the size, which is great if you’re plus size or just want a more comfortable fit. The pieces snap together securely and don’t feel flimsy once assembled. The weighted ball gives you consistent momentum, so you don’t have to constantly fight to keep the hoop spinning like with a standard hoop. That makes it more accessible for beginners who might otherwise get frustrated. It definitely gets your core engaged and can break a sweat quickly. That said, there is a learning curve. It can feel awkward at first, and if you’re not wearing snug clothing, it may shift or bump uncomfortably. The clicking sound from the weighted ball moving around the track is noticeable, though not a dealbreaker. Overall, it’s a solid home fitness option if you’re looking for something low-impact and a little different from typical cardio. It’s fun, adjustable, and effective once you get the rhythm down. I was skeptical about the weighted hula hoop trend I saw all over social media, but after using this for a month, I am officially a believer. If you’re looking for a way to tone your core without the drudgery of traditional crunches, this is it. Why It’s a Game-Changer: Adjustable & Secure: I love that the links are removable. It was so easy to click them together to get the perfect, snug fit for my waist. Unlike traditional hoops, this one never falls down, which makes it much less frustrating for beginners. Serious Core Burn: Don't let the "fun" factor fool you—after 20 minutes, you can really feel your abs and obliques working. It’s a fantastic cardio workout that doubles as resistance training. Smooth Glide: The centrifugal ball glides around the track effortlessly. It’s relatively quiet, so I can easily catch up on my favorite shows while I "hoop" away the calories. Visible Results: I’ve already noticed my waist feeling firmer and my posture improving. It’s become the part of my workout routine I actually look forward to. Read more
Just started this today and man it is a bit hard to get started, what I can give as a tip is use your hips and sway on them a bit more than you'd think? I could only do five minutes and my legs and waist do feel a burn. I do have to stop and restart it multiple times because I have never been good at hula hoop. But was able to get it circling and keep it that way for a minute or two before I got too tired. (I'm super out of shape.) I do like that it's fun in a sensory kind of way. It does make a clicking noises - but it's not as loud as I expected. My treadmill is louder. I'll try to remember to update if there is anything interesting, like loosing weight or it breaking. So far, as a cheap option, this is great. Definitely suggest trying this first before spending on the real thing, just to make sure you actually enjoy it. I can imagine this won't be everyone's cup of tea. Read more
