On my computer screen, I thought these looked closer to a true green in the seller's picture than what we got- they are actually an army green, leaning a little more to some brown mixed with green. The waffle pattern is quite pronounced and the fabric feels heavy, making a thick waist band. That said, they feel ok, and have no unpleasant scent, and seem to be well made- good stitching, decent seams. I would also say their size measurement is just as given in the size chart. I'm really impressed with these shorts. They arrived vacuum sealed which I found amusing, but the "quiltyness" of the shorts puffed right up after puncturing the plastic package. Once freed from the vacuum seal, I could instantly tell these were high quality before I even put them on. The fabric feels great...it's nice and soft and moves well with me as I walk. The listing shows these are 100% polyester and I was surprised by that due to how comfortable they are on the skin. The material has a decent bit of stretch to them as you would expect of these kind of shorts, with the elastic waistband being tight enough to stay up without needing to tie the drawstring unless you load up all the pockets. Speaking of which, these shorts have three pockets and all are actually usable! That can be very hit or miss with shorts, but these offer one nice back pocket large enough for a large wallet, and two front hip pockets that are deep enough to carry large cell phones without them sticking out. The stitching is very well done, no loose threads, no uneven or unmatched panels. I was worried the quilt style may be too hot or not breathe well but that is not the case. They are just super comfy and look nice. I always wash clothes and anything fabric right away when I purchase anything, and these machine washed and dried just fine. No pulling apart or loose threads or pilling after initial wash. I usually like to have at least one cargo pocket on these kinds of shorts but since they are not overlong and with the hip pockets being so deep, they probably wouldn't work well on these. That said, I also would ideally have preferred an extra 2-3 inches of length, enough to go past the knee, but that's just personal preference...I'm a very large guy and like clothes to be large and loose. And speaking of that, I did find that the 3X size fit as expected for stretchy lounge shorts, and I was aware they would be a couple inches shorter than I would like before I ordered so I don't count that as a problem. Overall I'm really happy with these shorts, they've instantly become one of my preferred lounging bottoms. I grabbed these hoping for something comfortable to wear around the house and they have quickly become the first pair I reach for when the laundry is done. The fabric has a quilted texture that gives them a really nice look up close without being too loud or flashy. It feels like a quality material with good stretch rather than cheap thin cotton. These JMIERR quilted shorts were originally meant for my husband… but the minute he tried them on and did not care for them it became clear: mine now. Vine won’t mind — because I really did test them, and they are wonderfully comfortable. The price I paid was an excellent deal for these well made shorts. The fabric feels like wearing a soft, warm bathrobe — perfect for winter lounging or quick errands. The front pockets easily hold my phone and keys, and there’s a back pocket as well. Fit-wise, these are labeled XXL (2X) in men's sizing, but the size charts in the listing are confusing. On one chart, a men’s 2X equals a 40" waist with 49.7" hips; the second chart shows a 2X as 42.5"–43" hips. I normally wear a women’s size 16, and these shorts fit me beautifully — snug enough to stay up, loose enough for comfort.
