It's large enough to use on shoulders and other areas needing heat therapy. This unit did not ever work. It gives an E3 code on the display. I disconnected the pad and still got the same code. Obviously either the pad is defective or the connector is a piece of junk. I followed the instructions from the seller but nothing worked and I could not even turn it off. The purchase was beyond the Amazon allowed return time. The seller was wonderful!
