Not quite what I was hoping for. It's way too big to support my head and does not adjust to a smaller size. If my head is able to bob from side to side, it kinda defeats the purpose. Nice, soft material, but unless you have an unusually large head, it won't provide the support you need. Read more

This pillow is memory foam and that is a big positive. I like how soft it is, but also that it is firm enough to keep my head in place while sleeping on a flight. I would call this a soft to medium memory foam (not super firm, but firm enough to keep your head in place while sitting in an airplane seat). I will suggest that any potential buyer look carefully at the contouring to see whether this is the type that you want. You must like those particular peaks and valleys and think that they are comfortable because this pillow is definitely contoured quite a bit and not flat. I don’t think the pillow is particularly small (that was something I worried about after some of the reviews), so I think it will fit people of all sizes. The color is much brighter than the picture appears, so keep that in mind if you don’t prefer a neon pink. I also think that the cover is fine in terms of softness, sewing etc, but when I first opened the box, I wondered if the pillow was dirty or if I had another customer’s return. I have tried to capture this in the photos, but it’s not coming through. Let’s just say that my initial impression was not that this was as completely fresh as I would want it to be. In looking closer, what I was seeing may have been fuzz, but I decided to wash the outer cover before using the pillow anyway. For this reason, it was nice to discover that the cover is removable and washable and this company gets positive praise for that for me. Also, when I removed the cover, the pillow underneath was pristine and there was no discoloration whatsoever of the memory foam. So that’s good. I’m not sure about their claim that there is no “memory foam” smell. My pillow has the typical memory foam smell. In fact, I recently received memory foam throw pillows for my couch from another company, and those pillows smelled much less than this neck pillow does, so I have a direct comparison from just yesterday upon opening the two different boxes. Still, I do not think that it is too much of a smell and, to be fair, I have received other memory foam items that have smelled much worse at the start. For those of you who are sensitive to smells, I would call this a medium smell (and I am pretty sensitive). Lastly, I will mention that this pillow does not come with a carrying case and that is a downside. this means that when traveling, there’s no case in which to keep it clean, so I will need to purchase something extra to do so. I do, however, like the fact that there is a buckle on the front of this because that keeps the pillow sides together and means that you can lean forward when sleeping, too. All in all, I think that this is a functional pillow choice, and I think that the memory foam is a really positive aspect of this. I don’t think that I would want a travel pillow that is made out of some sort of mystery filling. Overall, this pillow’s cost is in line with many others on Amazon and less than one would pay in an airport at the last minute. This has a great blend of support yet softness, using the memory foam style insert. The balance between support and softness is just right, yet the memory foam springs back without loss of shape. My first reaction on opening the package was just how cute and yes even snuggly this thing looks. And I'm a dude, so I have to say they knocked it out of the park design wise, aesthetics-wise, color shape texture tactile feel everything is a home run. I've been using it for a couple of days before posting a review, to be accurate. I've had a broken neck, and support is vital, as is a very particular degree of support versus give in a pillow. I am able to move this around and find a supportive yet comfortable position sitting up in my La-Z-Boy or laying in bed. I am about 6ft, so it might be my build, or the neck injury, but I would like to get one even a little thicker and taller for more support. I know they have to design this middle of the road to fit as many people as possible, and it does seem like the perfect size for that. One thing I imagine people will say is an odor. If you've used memory foam before, you know, they start out giving off a little order at first. This is brand new out of the box so of course you're going to have some scent as it airs out. I used a little of my favorite cologne on it, in between that and using it, sitting out for a couple of days, the odor is almost completely gone. I have a regular floppy half donut neck pillow in the background of this picture that I may include as a contrast to show just how handy the buckle is around this pillow. The previous half moon neck style pillows I've had always, always, maddeningly fall off at the worst time in the worst direction in the worst location.
