I purchased these lights to illuminate the steps on our new deck. I bought them in November and until we got into the really short days, they worked beautifully. They even stayed lit until the morning. However, as the sun became lower and lower in the sky, they weren't getting quite enough sunlight on them to work very well. Have had these lights for a couple years now. These are the best solar yard lights I've ever had! They continue to light every night, even if they are not fully in the sun/light during the day. I have several steps to light and I only put 1 step light on each step (about 3' wide) and it works great to see the steps at night. Would definitely buy again. Read more

I received the JOFIOS Solar Step Lights for Outside 12 pack in warm white and overall I am very happy with them. These lights look great and add a lot of visibility and safety to outdoor areas, especially around steps and walkways. The warm white lighting is one of the best parts. It is bright enough to clearly see steps and edges at night but it is not harsh or overly bright. The glow is soft and welcoming, which makes it look much nicer than some of the cooler or bluish solar lights you sometimes see. It gives a clean and polished look to outdoor stairs. I purchased these primarily for safety and they definitely help with that. Steps can be difficult to see at night, especially in darker areas of a yard or near a deck or patio. These lights make each step easier to identify, which helps reduce the chance of tripping. If you have family members, guests, or children using the stairs after dark, they are a great addition. Installation was very straightforward. They can be mounted quickly and once they are in place there is really nothing else you need to do. Since they are solar powered there are no wires to deal with and no need to run electricity to the area. They charge during the day and automatically light up at night which makes them very convenient. The build quality also seems good. They feel solid and designed for outdoor use. After installation they sit nicely on the steps and look clean and modern rather than bulky or cheap. Very functional The only downside in my opinion is the price. These lights are definitely on the more expensive side compared to some other solar step lights. However, they do look nicer than many cheaper options and the lighting quality is better as well. Adjustment is great. Compatible for most stairs. Using in front patio and back porch decks. The warm lighting, simple installation, and improved nighttime visibility make them a practical upgrade. Overall these are very nice solar step lights that do exactly what they are supposed to do. These are perfect for lighting up my steps at night. I haven't gotten around anchoring them down yet, so there have been times when I grabbed one to use as a flashlight when I take my dog out at night. They are super bright! ***UPDATE as of 3/11/26: 2 of the 12 stopped working for absolutely no reason. One stopped working around 2 months ago, and the other stopped working the other night, and it looks as though a layer of some sort is flaking off of the solar part. Still have not anchored them down due to winter and wanting to not have them buried in snow for easier shoveling/sweeping. Read more
