I purchased this several months ago, but got distracted by a host of things that were going on (I lead a very blessed but highly crazy life) and forgot to give a "heads up this product is cute but ours was totally a lemon!" warning. Sometimes when things are really hitting the fan, these things get away from me. I got this for our daughter to use in her room to help give her some time reminder guidance for things that she was doing upstairs. She is just a wee bit obsessed with all things kitty, so I knew she would think this was just about the most adorable thing ever. I liked that it wasn't battery operated, so I thought perhaps it would last longer. It didn't even work correctly right out of the package. But because it had an adorably cute kitty-witty on it, we couldn't get rid of it. So it sat in her room as an ornament. I would rate it higher for that, except, that's not what it was supposed to do at all. It is always possible we just had a bad experience, but...just an FYI. It's not a bad timer. Nothing fancy, but it's cute and it works. I can't speak for durability since we just got it, but I had to add a review and point out that most of the 1 star reviews are giving it bad marks because they never read the instructions on the bottom. In all fairness, I missed it at first too so I'm not trying to insult anyone. You have to set the timer all the way to 60 minutes and then bring it back to what time you want, or the bell won't ring when the time expires. It will just taper off and get quiet. Rotate it all the way around then take it back to what time you want, and it works fine. Read more

We got this timer to help our toddler with concepts such as time out, time to try to potty, and calming down. It's an adorable timer & our son loves it. It looks exactly like the picture. However, it does not ding at all like it should. This is not the type of timer to buy if you want it to alert you once the time is up. It will ring if you make it but, won't if it has finished counting down normally. We're currently trying to come up with another use for it. We're just going to use our plain old kitchen timer for now. It's not cute, but it does what this timer was supposed to. Read more
