It was easy to set up and is fairly quiet. Instant difference in temperature. It can cool a large room. The window kit is not great. Its kinda bulky. I don't like that it blows straight up. I'm not complaining. It works well. It's way better than a fan or swamp cooler. Read more

Worse Amazon purchase I've ever made. The unit runs maybe a hour before it shuts off due to water tank being full. We had to purchase a large mop bucket and install the drain tube. The 3.5 gallon bucket has to be emptied every 6 hours! The exhaust tube gets more than hot! It heats up so much that the unit does not cool as much as it should. I wrapped the thin accordion exhaust tube with AC foam hoping to keep out the units own HEAR! I could have sent back, but seriously trying to repack a large item and tote it somewhere for pick up & paying return shipping was just not worth it. It will just be my largest purchase mistake ever. I DO not recommend this unit. Over the last 8 years I've purchased 6 different units and this is the most expensive & worse one! Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great price. This is the second one of these portable AC units I have purchased. They're basically a no name brand made in China. They have been working very well so far. I placed this one downstairs on the kitchen counter so it could reach the window which is placed up high. The hose is long enough to reach most windows when placed on the floor however. Well made and keeping my small kitchen and attached living room cool so far. Read more

Well, I received my order, but the window insert was cracked. The seller didn't have any in stock so they offered me a $30 refund which I was okay with. I used gorilla tape to reinforce the crack. It was very easy to install. The noise level was about what I expected, but it definitely was not quiet. The problem was the fact that the fan motor didn't work at all. You'd turn it on, the compressor would kick on but there wasn't any cold air coming out of it, just hot exhaust. So I contacted the seller again. By the way they were super fast with their responses each time. Without me having to prompt them, they immediately offered a full refund and said I didn't have to return the unit. They refunded my money within 12 hours. So, I was extremely impressed with the seller's ethics, I just wish the unit had worked. Read more
