Wow - way more impressed by this toy than I expected to be. It's well designed so that playing tug-of-war results in squeaks with each tug in addition to while chewing. The pulls themselves are very sturdy and chewable and the ball lasts quite a while. It did, admittedly, last only 2 days but that was with an EXTREMELY destructive chewer and very vigorous playing. The pull pieces are secured over the squeaky ball by 4 woven straps and it was ultimately the stitches connecting those to the skin & pull pieces that gave first. Despite it's short lifetime, it was thoroughly enjoyed and well worth the cost. Read more

This is the first "Tuff" toy to last over a month with my two Great Danes. I have a 110 pound Great Dane puppy that has dismantled every other toy so far in a matter of days. So far this one has stood up. The only warning is that the center is a full sized squeaker. If you want to hear your TV it needs to be put up at that time. Note: We also bought the crab but it did not fair as well. It did last far longer then most toys but was eventually dismantled. Interestingly, the squeaking ball inside then became our Danes favorite toy. It lasted about two weeks before being destroyed. Finally I should add that these toys were unprotected. By that I mean we did not put them up if the puppy started to chew looking for a weakness. That explains the destruction to the crab and also attests to the toughness of the cow. Great produce. I would definitely buy this again! Read more

My rescue Kelpie loves squeaky toys! Jolly tug-a-mal are good toys. This small I got was a little too small but he still likes it. Also, I should mention, the material around the squeaky part is thick. I used to have a Lab that dissected squeaky toys to get the squeaky. (She would watch me make tugs from torn socks. Then, in turn, untie knots in socks.) This Jolly toy (no matter the size) is very hard to dissect but you still need to watch. Read more

I have a 63 lbs German shepherd heβs a big chewer he loves these toys. He loves squeaking and chewing on them. He loves the tug a war concept as well to get interaction from us as well. Definitely will buy more in the future. Itβs also a nice bonus when they go on sale because in stores they are double the price Read more

My dogs have loved this toy and I would recommend it! They are big chewers and they love toys that make noise and this one makes squeaking noises on different octaves. I gave it 4 stars because within a day one of the claws was torn off, with in the first week, and that is the only thing they have torn off in the couple of months they've had this toy. I attached pictures because Bella my 11 month old mixed Cane Corso & Golden Doodle Puppy carries it around by the claws often, it with stands her carrying it around. When they get the large size ball in their mouth, it is the body of the crab, they chew on it to make it squeak and I throw it. It has held up pretty well over the last few months which I have a hard time finding durable toys with my large dogs with large chewers. My other two dogs are a 85lb Cane Corso who is 2 years old and very rough with it and my other is a 90lb Black Labrador Retriever who is 13 and a half so he doesn't play as much as the younger two. I rely on these reviews so I wanted to let others know about this good one. Read more

Our dogs favorite toys. This toy lasts longer than most with our girls. They play with these until there is nothing left to salvage which takes several weeks/months! Read more

Pictures shows "cloth rings". The one I received had "rope" rings.. Tugging with my 45lb lab puppy, 1 end pulled out. Making it no longer a ring. Still tried to use it and it fraid and literally started falling apart... I have the Elephant version and it has cloth covered "loops" (migh be rope under it) but it lasted 3 months, until the puppy pulled the ball out of the middle and punctured the squeaker. It actually works as a tug toy still, just no squeak... This "Turtle" one lasted a total of 20 min tugging, and now looks like the pictures above. Read more

The Jolly Pets Tug-a-Mals have the BEST squeakers on the market, which depending on what you want may be a good or bad thing. I have found that my pit bull will destroy ANY stuffed toy in a manner of minutes. However, because this toy has such an intense squeak and is ultimately a rubber ball when the fabric does come off, it takes her months to slowly take it apart. And then when she is done she has a rubber ball to play with. I have been a dog owner for 15+ years and this is by far the best squeaking toy out there. It can also be used as a great distraction when you want your dog to pay attention to you instead of something at a distance. I will say, the squeak is intense and can be incredibly jarring and annoying, but hey, if it makes your dog happy, it's worth it! :) Read more
