We needed to replace a living room lamp. We would've loved to found something at a local store or even Home Depot, but the choices are really limited. Amazon offered numerous styles from this brand. I dreaded opening it, fully suspecting a broken or cracked lampshade. However, it was in perfect shape and very easy to assemble. I didn't notice in the listing that it comes only with a floor switch, but that's actually convenient. Compared to previous stand lamps we've bought at stores, I thought this one was pricey. However, this lamp has much more extensive glass work in the lamp shade, sits firm on the floor without wobble, and the wiring is high-quality. It looks and works terrific. Very pleased. Read more

This is one of the best all around lamps I've ever bought. The base is very heavy so very slim chance of it tipping over, plus it's well padded underneath so very little chance of it scratching my hardwood floors. The bronze color of the base and post goes well with about everything. The artwork on the base and swirls on the posts add to just how classy and upscale this lamp looks. BTW, others have posted the swirls are not lining up and deter from the looks. Well, that's because the swirls have not been adjusted yet. By losening the jam nut, and turning the threaded, connecting insert, the posts swirls will align...PERFECTLY. It's a trial and error thing. Out of the box, my swirls did not line up either, but an extra 7-8 minutes, making adjustments, and now the swirls are perfectly aligned...post is dead on vertical, solid, and tight. It looks great! The glass torch shade is ABSOLUTELY stunning. Eyes are drawn to it upon entering the room. The shade is top notch quality in looks and craftsmanship.....and I'm a detailed and picky person. Mine came with a foot switch although I read it was touch ON/OFF (which I'd rather have), but that's OK.....not sending it back after having gone thru unpacking and assembly. BTW, the thing is really packed well...nothing arrived damaged, that I could find. I'm playing with LED bulb wattage and haven't settled on the appropriate brillance yet. The foot switch works easy and feels solid. The electrical wire from lamp, thru foot switch, and to wall plug is wrapped in "old style" nylon fabric which really adds even more to style and class. A real plus that I haven't seen since my appliance cords were cloth wrapped, YEARS ago. BTW, the cord is PLENTY long. I can't wait till night to see how it looks then. Right now, in daytime, IT'S GORGEOUS!!! I'm sooo glad I bought this. It really adds to my family room. I love it's looks and how it adds to the room looks. Will buy again. UPDATE... Settled on a 600 lm LED lamp, as it fit my area best. The lamp came with a 450 lm....800 lm was too much light. I love this lamp. Read more

This lamp is beautiful and well made. I researched Tiffany floor lamps for months before I pulled the trigger on this one. The assembly is very straight forward. The glass shade is well crafted and the base is heavy so I have no fear of it tipping over. It functions perfectly and illuminates our dining room. I read the reviews on this lamp prior to purchase. Some of the information was helpful, but some inaccurate. The lamp shade IS glass, not plastic. The black lines connecting the pieces are called soldering not glue. It is normal for it to show, you should worry if it doesn’t. I appreciated the comments about how difficult some found it to line up the pole pattern when assembling the lamp. That fore knowledge was helpful. The pictures posted were also very helpful. I have been looking and pricing lamps for a couple of years. This lamp has one of the prettiest bases and lamp poles I have seen. The bases are heavy enough to protect the lamp from tipping (with stain glass that matters). I bought four of these lamps, and with care, we were able to line up the pole pattern perfectly on each. These lamps make a statement, and are much more impressive in person than the Amazon listing can show. They have an art deco vibe. The colors are beautiful. There is always a certain amount of variation in the color/patterns of the glass being used. Because I needed four, I was worried that the lamps might not match. Happily, I was worried for nothing. In my opinion, these lamps are a quality product. I was able to get them at such a great price, that I am still a bit shocked. Excuse the mess on my mantle in the attached picture but I’m moving into a new home. Said home has zero overhead lighting in the living room so I was looking for a snazzy quality floor lamp and I stumbled upon these. They’re really well made, sturdy, with a nice heavy base, and they look great. I did however anchor them to my mantle because I have children but if you don’t have kids or pets the heavy base should be more than enough to keep your lamp safely upright. They are however a bit on the pricey side but if you can get it at a good price don’t hesitate. They arrived well packed and were easy to assemble. Two thumbs way up! Read more

I've boughten the Chloe stained glass lamps before for my house. And all though they are beautiful the quality isn't great. So I decided to get the Johnathan Y peacock lamp and was pleasantly surprised at what came out of the box. This lamp is gorgeous and looks more expensive than it is. It's taller than the Chloe branded torch lamp by a few inches. The quality of the soldering and colors of the Johnathan Y lamp are superior when compared to the Chloe. I would recommend this brand in particular due to the level of detail and craftsmanship they put into all their lamps. Read more
