If you are looking for a new floor lamp, stop your search and just buy this one! Its great. The remote wonderful and is magnetic and sticks to the stem of the light. SOOOOO many light mode and hue options. I love that I can change it from a brightly lit room one minute to a chill low light room the next. Easy to put together and seems like good quality so far. I've had this for a whole week now. Been using it day and night for about an hour at a time. I use it in the morning when I get up to check my emails on the bed, and use it for perusing the internet at night before bed. So far, no complaints at all. The lamp arrived in a small box with all the poles covered in a plastic sleeve to protect it from getting scratched when rubbing against the other poles. I got mines in white and there were no scratches or paint chips at all on the entire unit. Assembly is simple, you just screw in all the poles together. They're connected via an internal wire so there's no way you can make a mistake putting it together. The light is plenty bright in all 3 color temperatures. My favorite, surprisingly, is the 3000k on low. The remote control is a nice thing to have as I can turn on/off and adjust the brightness/temps without getting out of my bed. haha. This lamp has a very modern look to it and definitely feels of quality. The base is heavy enough that this won't tip over. I'm glad I got this one vs the ones at Walmart or Target. Lastly, the lamp itself does not get warm even after an hour of use. I highly recommend this. In fact, I'm thinking of getting another one for the living room. Read more

I have bought 6 of these over the past 5 years. Every one of them still works well. Very good quality (and sturdy) for the money. PROs: They are super easy to put together. The ability to select color tone is more useful than you probably imagined. Depending on the natural light and color of the room, it makes a big difference. They are indeed slim so they can light up a room without taking up too much space. The magnetic controller is handy - somehow neither of my kids lost in during the their college years. I tend to buy them in black but the gold one is also stunning. CONs. It's not the easiest lamp to move. It's too tall to keep in one piece. But luckily it's not that hard to take it apart and reassembling. I've used these in: College dorm rooms. Dark basement/laundry room. I purchased this light for a craft room that is approximately 13' X 13' and that has insufficient lighting.
