I've had smart bulbs before and they're always a pain to connect to your phone. This lamp can be controlled on the lamp itself easily or with the remote. It's not as bright as an overhead light, but it does light up a small room well. I have no issues reading with this light alone on. I have sensitive eyes to light and I normally keep lights off or have lights with dimmers. This lamp allows you to pick less harsh, warmer colored white light if you want as well as adjust the brightness. It's a perfect amount of light for me and I have no problem reading a book with it on. It seems very well-made. It's not overly heavy where you'd have trouble lifting it, but is heavy enough you don't need to worry about it easily falling over. I like the style that reminds me of older lamppost lights. This is a pretty cool floor lamp. It is made out of metal and glass. It is pretty easy to assemble. It comes with instructions, but you don't really need it. All of the tubes twist together to form the lamp. It comes with a remote control and also touch control on the lamp itself. It is powered by a regular plug. You can change the color and brightness of the lamp. It can also be different temperatures of white. The lamp isn't that bright at the brightest level. It work well as an ambiance light, but not as a light source for reading and other things. I think it is priced alright. It could be cheaper in my opinion though. The lamp isn't super tall. This lamp looks just like it's advertised. It's long and slim. There are so many settings for the colors, color changes, even one to go with your music. It's really neat. The remote makes it easy to control. The remote is magnetic so it can be placed on the lamp pole. That's pretty smart! There is also a touch control "panel" on the lamp to adjust color, brightness, etc. I think the lamp is festive and sets a nice mood. There is a simple light yellow setting to use just as a regular lamp. I might use it for my disabled father so he can have a lamp across his room but can use the remote to turn it on and off easily. I wouldn't use for a larger room needing actual brightness, but it does have a setting that allows you to adjust said brightness, along with many color changes. Very dim! it looks nice, good quality glass casing, colors and remote are good. connector is a pain to use, but once setup it was way more dim than expected. i have their cheaper white light which is nice and bright.. i expected similar output from this one, but not the case. Read more
