Pleasantly surprised! I bought this for the screw back removal tool and that works great. However, I've also used most of the other tools, which all came in very handy on several watch repairs. Also, the replacement springs are super helpful for band repairs. Read more

This is a great kit. I’m not new to watch repair. I have a bunch of tools. I bought this because it has what I think is the best back watch wrench around. I have several with 3 slots but there are certain watches that require a back watch wrench just like this set has, with only 2 pry bars for better leverage. It has the right grip for the huge watches yet is easy to use on smaller size watches. It adjusts to whatever I need. I got this and immediately was able to change batteries on 4 watches that otherwise I’d be taking to a jeweler to have them do it. And that’s only one of the several tools included. It has a smaller watch pry which is great for my small watches. You really need to have several different size prys if you have various width watches. It comes in a box with a padded cushion to hold the tools. I have a big tool case for my watches so not having its own case doesn’t matter to me. It is a great set for a beginner as it has tools I actually prefer after many years of watch repair. It should open most case backs but I’m sure you’ll find that rare one where an additional tool is needed. That’s why I bought this set for tools I had but not in the right size as these were. It doesn’t come with a magnifying glass. This is something I prefer and Amazon has some nice ones with lights which is what I have in my tool kit. To me it didn’t matter about no hard case or magnifying glass because I already had that. A beginner may want them. People with experience probably have a set and just want added tools. I would not recommend this on smart watches as they are completely different than a normal wrist watch. Although you may be able to open it, I suggest taking smart watches to where you bought them. For normal wrist watches this kit is great. Durable, it comes with the back wrench, pry, case back holder, 5-in-1 screwdriver with bits, 20 piece spring bars of various sizes, tweezers, cleaning cloth, plus instructions, which makes this a great value for the money. It’s a good product, but I think anyone using it to remove the screw-in back of a watch may have a problem since the tool to grab and unscrew the back froze for me. However, it worked real well for prying off the back of a watch and for removing the battery. Read more

Great price with all the tools you will need for a battery replacement or other minor repair. Quality matches the price but is more than enough for at home use and it will save you hundreds of dollars over a jewelry store. Read more

I needed new batteries for two watches, an extra thin Skagen and a small diameter Bulova. The batteries are easily available on Amazon and quite inexpensive. The tools have worked well. Easily pryed open the cases and replaced the batteries. Unfortunately, I found it impossible to close the back of both cases. Ordered a Jorest watch press set, which did the job. See separate review. Did not work to get my case back off of my watch. Whuch is why I intially bought it. Used a ton of force. After a while, was worried I may damage my watch with as much force I was applying to it. May work for you. Didn't for me in my application. Read more
