These boots are super nice, however they run big in size. The color is amazing and goes great with several options. The price is good for these boots. Although it's wide calf they still didn't come up all the way to my knees due to my legs are large. Even with them running big in size they still wear well. Very comfortable and strong material. Didn’t hug my ankles enough to walk properly. Usually I’m a size 9. My ankles aren’t particularly skinny at all. But I’m going to return and order a diff brand in a size 8.5 and ones that appear less wide around the ankle in the photos. The media could not be loaded. This review is for a pair of brown wide calf faux leather riding boots. I’m usually a women’s size 7 and I ordered a 7 and found them true to size. Overall, these are a good value for under $60. These boots have a smooth and simple profile, with no zippers or fasteners. They just pull on over your calf. I was a gymnast for 15 years and now I’m active duty Army, so I run regularly. I have strong calves, but certainly not larger than an average woman. (I’m a size 8-10, medium and 5’7”). These boots are NOT for wide calves. As pictured in one of my photos, the shaft of these boots just slides over my legs and don’t pull up as tall as they could. I can barely squeeze a finger in. These would not work for a plus size woman with thicker legs. They are comfortable though. The brown is a nice chestnut color and the faux leather is soft and supple, not plastic-y feeling the way some pleather can be. (I’ll update my review if it doesn’t hold up well after some wear.) The toe box is very generous and the rounded toe affords plenty of wiggle room for fan shaped feet that are a bit wider on top. I have Morton’s neuroma in both feet so all closed toe shoes present a painful challenge for me. But these are comfy and supportive and I could walk or stand in these for long periods. One note: there is very little tread on the bottom (see video) and I have not yet worn these in the rain or on wet ground. I’ll update if they are slippery when walking on wet ground. Read more
