This is a great portable charger for the Apple Watch. I have an older Apple Watch SE that barely lasts a day, and only half of that if I use it with tracking for a 3-4 hour hike. This little jewel charged it back up quickly, maybe even faster than the original Apple wired puck. Some other useful features: * You can charge the charger while it is charging your watch (or other device) * Both the male and female USB-C connectors are 2-way. You can use either to charge the charger or to charge another device. * You can charge your watch and another device (or even 2 other devices using both USB-C connections) simultaneously. * The battery in the charger will recharge a watch multiple times. It will charge an iPhone, but can’t deliver a full charge. Still, handy to have in an emergency, especially when traveling. * The charger automatically shuts off after 30 seconds when the device being charged is full or disconnected with no activity. No auto-on, but simple press of the power button starts the charging. * The looped connector for USB-C plugs in securely to the socket and can be used as lanyard for carrying the charger. I found this on a whim and figured “hey, why not”, and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised - I haven’t used another charger since buying it. It’s so convenient, it can be used on the go as a portable battery, or plugged in as a stationary charger (use your own cable or use the included USB C cable, works all the same). It doesn’t produce much heat at all, it charges like any other Apple Watch charger and works like a charm every time. It’s been perfectly durable for me, I have it in my carry bag at all times and my watch has yet to miss a second. I’ve had no charging errors, which is surprising - I’ve had mixed results from non-Apple chargers, not this one! My only missed opportunity: The USB C port/cable provides only output at 5 watts, and with such a small battery I wouldn’t use this as a phone charger - but it *can* give your phone a small charge boost on the go if it’s absolutely necessary. I love this thing. It’s way better than I expected. My only issue is if I use it to charge my phone, it dies very quickly while my phone only goes up by 20 or so percent. But that’s not what this is advertised for. It’s made to charge an Apple Watch and it does that very well. Possibly because the watch has a smaller battery and probably doesn’t use much memory. I purchased a second Apple Watch charger after I received and tested the first one. I’ve charged and exhausted the battery several times testing this remote Apple phone charger and so far it is working perfectly.
