I have been wanting to juice for a while and am really looking forward to upping my nutrition game. So I was super excited when this showed up in the mail. The machine was super fast and easy to assemble. The included instructions were simple and straightforward with excellent illustrations and step-by-step directions to put it into operation. One of my favorite features, which I discovered during this process, was the fact that no tools, switches, levers, or fasteners were needed for putting this together or for taking apart for cleaning. Every one of the parts, whether moving or stationary, just fits on or are dropped into place very easily. There was a sticker on the cover of the juicer that tells the user to run the juicer for a few minutes before you start using it to basically break it in. I had the whole thing broken in and ready to juice in less than 20 minutes. My first recipe included blueberries, apples, cucumbers, celery and ice. It was absolutely delicious, and I could feel the energy boost very shortly thereafter. I will probably be doing a short juice fast in a few weeks, but for right now, I am planning the combination of juice with healthy solid food. When I was finished drinking my juice, I took the machine apart for cleaning. Disassembly was just as easy as assembly was with the only exception of having to be careful with all of the pulp inside to avoid making a mess. I did have to work at the blade/mesh a bit to get all of the little particles out but a small, tough bristle brush under a faucet on spray mode works pretty well. I have already looked into uses for the leftover pulp and plan to have some fun going through those recipes. I know that you can just toss it into the compost bin, which works great, but it would be even better to get that bit of extra nutritional value out of it. I know that there are bigger better juicers out there and I may upgrade someday, but for now, this little juicer works great for my needs. It’s powered by an 800W motor and handles both soft and hard fruits and vegetables effortlessly because of its two-speed rotary control. The large 27oz capacity juice jug and 53oz big pulp container is a big plus, allowing you to juice in larger batches without constantly stopping to empty the containers. The safety locking arm is a reassuring feature by preventing user error/injury from running the juicer without the lid properly in place and locked. BTW, this could also prevent you from making a mess and have everything go flying out which has happened to me with my first 70s style juicer. Another standout feature is the sanitary stainless steel mesh strainer because it efficiently filters out pulp for a smoother juice and is resistant to contamination such as rust and other forms of corrosion. The built-in overheat protection adds an extra layer of safety by automatically shutting down the juicer if it gets too hot. I also appreciate and like how quick and easy it is to disassemble for cleaning making it convenient to juice on a daily basis. Overall, I think this juicer is reliable, efficient and compact enough to be stored in the covers or left out on the counter without taking much space. I mention this as my older juicer is wider and shorter and takes more counter space. This one being taller with detachable jugs allows for easier storage.
