I bought it for kindle reading and iPad stand for kids. It works great with MagSafe apple devices. Kindle as well. It came with 2 sets total four adhesive metal plates that can be stick to the device cover. The magnet is powerful. I can say it feels like 5 lbs of pulling strength to remove it. The size is a bit bigger then I thought but at least its stable enough won’t tip over. The adjustable bar has two joints so it has pretty wide range to move back and forth. Except for the phones in my family, the tablets are too big for this stand's magnet to hold them if they are grabbed from the devices instead of the neck or the stand's arm.
