After more than a decade with a subpar tripod that eventually broke, I was delighted to see how much of an upgrade was possible! This tripod is amazing: very well built and comes with a phone attachment as well so that you can use it for cell photos. Of note, the cell phone attachment was able to fit my iPhone 6e which has a very beefy case on it. I love the fact that you can invert the tripod as well, enabling you to get low shots while also having the leg length shortened. I almost got a cheaper tripod by Amazon that also looked good, but for $50 this was more than worth it. Read more

For the price during prime day, it isn’t terrible. It’s somewhat compact but not very functional. The leg clips are hard to open to extend the tripod. The ball joint at the top just doesn’t work well. The quick release is finicky. Wouldn’t really recommend it. Read more

Works great but, the stand is high quality. If they made the phone holder the same quality it would be 5 stars. I mean who wants to trust your 1000 dollar phone to a cheap holder. I will probably buy a better phone holder if I use it more. I did attach it to a very old redfield spotting scope and the screw fits so I'm guessing it's a standard size but they should've used a low profile wing screw because you might need a flat head screwdriver to tighten it solid. As for storage for a spotting scope together it will not fit in your standard cases you get from Walmart mine is 12 × 16 and it doesn't fit you will need minimum 20in wide case to fit it.
