Unless you have fungus-thickened yellow slabs of collagen on your toes and need side cutters to trim them... these are by far the best clippers I've ever used, esp for the price. Own 3 sets now, one in the house, one in the car (small fingernail version), and one in the massage tote I take on jobs. Precise, easy to hold and use vs. TRIM and lapsed-patent-copies, and cuts through your nail cleanly, not smashes off the nail with indifferent sharpening. Plus a very effective nail file in the lever, and a well-designed clip guard to catch them if you need one. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Read more
Japanese tools. So I flew out of SFO, and of course they took my nail clippers from me. When I arrived in Kyoto I picked up a pair of these at the local konbini. Like, 250 yen or something, which in the US would get you a stamped monstrosity with dull blades and the kind of loose fit meaning it shifts in your hands and makes a painful tear instead of a cut. Not these. They lasted for twenty years. They STILL clipped fine! The only reason I finally traded them in for another of the exact same make was that little file is like diamond. I'd been cleaning contacts on appliances, taking edges down on bits of metal. What finally killed the file was I was SHARPENING A DRILL BIT on it. And it still worked well enough to let me finish the job! Read more
Yes, they are a bit on the small side, but are still, by FAR, the best nail clippers I’ve ever used. I have extensive joint damage from arthritis and find ordinary clippers difficult and painful to use; sometimes almost taking more pressure to clip a fingernail than I can generate. Not with these clippers! Far superior design make them an easy-breezy time clipping my nails. They’re very sharp too, and I find my nails aren’t chipping and splitting nearly as much as with other clippers. Worth every penny, and I’m going to see if they have a larger size for my big toes and thumbs. If you don’t like the plastic clipping collector sleeve, just take it off. Read more
Work as advertised. Sharp! Easy to use. Far better than store bought clippers. 3 stars because it meets my expectations. Read more
These are the best nail clippers I’ve ever owned. I’ll never buy the cheap dime store version again. Read more
The clippers are nice and sharp, but the white plastic cover tends to block your view of the area you’re clipping. Read more
Sharp. Everything seems properly aligned. As others have noted, it is small, maybe even a tad smaller than tradition old U.S. clippers. The rough file surface exposed when clipping helps to provide a decent grip and control. It does the job. I think there should be some intuitive care that this is going to cut anything it clamps down on, so I'd make sure you haven't grabbed skin. So far, I like it. Read more
