I have a set of shun knives. I already own the Kai knife sharpener to sharpen the knives. This is a good addition to the sharpener to sharpen my last knife in the set. It is easy to use. However, the instruction is confusing. The package said only to pull back to sharpen. However, the inside instruction said to use back and forth motion to sharpen. I had tried both methods and it did not damage my knife (that I can see). It would be nice if the instruction is more consistent. Read more
I was only able to sharpen my serrated bread knife. The space in between to cut will only take a knife. I thought I was gonna be able to do sharpen the scissors as well. It looks like I’m down for buying another pair of shears. Otherwise, this was a great buy and will do the job for your serrated bread knives. Read more
I used it on two serrated knives and it definitely sharpened them, but while doing that sharpening, three of what looked like ceramic rollers (which I believe is the sharpening mechanism itself) fell out and there is no way to open the unit to try to replace them. I have no idea if it will continue to sharpen or if after a few more sharpenings, more of these pieces will fall out. Read more
