I like the looks, weight, balance, simplicity, grip of this pen. It is beautiful. It is heavy, but well balanced with the cap posted. It is a bit short with the cap not posted, but one could still write that way if preferred. The grip is about 0.380" in diameter where held, very comfortable. 1/2 turn unscrews the cap. The ceramic refill it ships with writes very smoothly, but a standard Parker G2 style refill works perfectly also. I bought the separate clip so I could attach it to a shirt, but have since removed it because it was a bit uncomfortable to write with when the add-on clip was attached. No regrets at all, highly recommend this pen Read more

This solid brass gel/ballpoint - screw-cap & post pen is a beautiful workhorse. It is now my new, daily gel-writer. It's solid, well-milled, is smooth, and carries the weight to never be lost ( it's also octagonal - no roll ). Who would want to lose such a great pen ? It's, maybe, 3 millimeters shorter than would be ideal for me - and my large hands - but, they did it perfectly for pocket-carry. This is a great product. Read more

My pen arrived this afternoon. It's my second Kaweco Brass Sport; my other one is a fountain pen. I carry both of them in my pocket in the Kaweco leather pouch that I purchased. My new gel pen didn't arrive in the iconic Kaweco tin box. Was this done for shipping purposes? Was I supposed to receive the tin, too? Read more

This is a nice, heavy pen that closes to a very compact 10.8 cm (4.25"), but with the cap posted becomes a full size pen measuring 13.5 cm (5.31"). Because the cap itself is very light, the pen has a good balance even though it's a heavy 45 g (1.6 oz). The Good: - Excellent dark black gel ink refill in the pen. The Kaweco refill might replace my go to Schmidt refills. - Unfinished brass ages and takes on a patina unique to each pen The Bad: - If you want your pen to stay a pristine brass color, this is not that pen. There is no lacquer or other finish applied to the brass and it will age. - If you want a lighter pen, this is not it. This might be the heaviest pen I have written with. What could be better: - Honestly, I can't think of anything I would change with this pen. Read more

This is my favorite fountain pen, and I have Lamys, TWSBIs, a Monteverde, a Waterman Carene, and even a real Mont Blanc 149 that I bought new from the Mont Blanc brick & mortar store. I upgraded the nib to a Premium Fine, and it writes so smooth. It does not leak and has had no problems with Colorverse sheen inks. This pen stays in my pocket and is always ready to go. No hard starts or scratchiness. If I could give it 10 stars I would. With other pens, one must always be careful of causing marks on them. With the Kaweco brass, I feel 100% confident I could run over it with my car and it wouldn't even show. Try that with a resin or cellulose pen. With the cap on and secure, I do not ever worry about leaks and staining my clothes. Other pens do not like to be posted. The Kaweco is supposed to be posted so that it can be held better. Finally, there are matching rollerball, ballpoint, and pencil models if one would like the complete set. Read more
