After a couple of weeks having this I finally got to use it during our first real frost of the winter season. It got to 23 last night and won’t be 43 until 5 pm. This half cover protected my 2012 Scion XB very well from the frost! No frost on all the windows except the back one. It’s well made and thick, my only problem is that I ordered the wrong size so it doesn’t extend to my back windshield. For the price this cover is totally worth it!! Got here a day before the snow just in time to try it out. Did exactly the job it needed to do with a convertible parked on the street where the license plate has to show. Reduces wear on the cloth top to extend the life of it. Stayed in place with multiple options to secure it and the snow slides off it easily with a brush. I could have taken off one side and slid it all off at one time but I wanted to keep it on for snow later. I ordered an H5-SUV Length (143''-157'') cover for my Subaru Forester. It has little gaps on the long sides only because I have no place to attach the straps that go down under the center of the vehicle. I have to stretch these straps to latch on to the front straps already secured on the front wheels. But that works. I am looking at my car now; it's raining and the cover is secure from last night. The windshield cover has blown up in the center. I suppose it wouldn't have done that if it had snowed? Also, I was going to rest my windshield wiper on the cover and I forgot to. The only thing I might change is the material the hooks are made from. They are plastic and if they get caught in a door (which shouldn't happen with the roof cover, but did happen to me with the windshield cover), they are easily broken. I don't know how easy it will be to remove the cover once it is covered with snow???? Hopefully, I will be able to manage it. I think for the price, you can't go wrong. NEW ADDITION: A COUPLE OF THINGS: 1. YOU CAN'T HOLD THE TOP DOWN WITH A WINDSHIELD WIPER; THE TOP IS TOO LONG FOR THAT. 2. IN THE WIND YESTERDAY, ALONG WITH THE FRONT BLOWING UP A LITTLE, THE WHOLE TOP SHIFTED FORWARD A BIT. I WENT OUT TO PUT IT BACK IN PLACE -- EASILY DONE -- AND NOTICED THAT IT WOULD BE NICE IF THE MANUFACTURER COULD PUT TWO STRAPS ON THE BACK OF THE COVER TO HOLD DOWN THE REAR PART OF THE TOPPER. TO ADD TO MY FIRST REVIEW: I HAVE NOW HOOKED THE MIDDLE STRAPS TO MY REAR DOOR OPENER. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY WILL SCRATCH THE PAINT? OR IF THEY WILL HOLD IN THE PREDICTED WINDS. WE'LL SEE. FINAL FOLLOW-UP REVIEW: TOP STAYED SECURE IN 40 TO 60 MPH WINDS!!!! WHEN I REMOVED IT, THERE WAS A BUILD-UP OF THREE INCHES OF SOLID ICE!!!
