I almost never write a review, but this vacuum cleaner is amazing! I can’t believe I’m writing a review for a vacuum cleaner. Here’s the deal: I have a black and a yellow lab. I have a Malamute/GSD mix and some kind of a lab/pit/weirdo. Four dogs. My old vacuum was a Dyson. After about a month, every time I vacuumed I could smell a strong awful dog smell, even after tearing the thing apart and cleaning it. It was so bad, my husband refused to vacuum and would leave the house when I vacuumed. I had to constantly spray carpet freshener because my house smelled like dog. I figured it was because I had four dogs. I absolutely needed a vacuum cleaner that didn’t puff out foul dog smell. I researched and read reviews and went for this Kenmore. It was like a miracle took place in my vacuum world. I have been using this vacuum for several weeks. There is zero dog smell. It picks up every thing fabulously. The carpet attachment has a second motor in it and it pulls itself, practically. I only need to guide it. My severe back arthritis loves it. The floor attachment gets into those narrow odd places. I have used it for about a month every other day and I just changed the bag. It has a light that goes on to tell you the bag was full and the light never came on. So I only changed it because I thought surely it was full. It wasn’t 100% full. My house smells better and I think it’s because the suction power is superior and it gets all the dander. Remember, I have four big dogs. This vacuum is a vacuum miracle in my little world. If you have stinky, shedding dogs, I highly recommend this vacuum. It did not disappoint. It is very affordable. I looked at some vacuums that were over a thousand dollars, but this vacuum does everything I need it to and more. Read more

Initial response: I bought an Amazon Resale version for a very low price. I am 100% very happy with what I got. I live in an apartment, so the lowest speed setting is not so loud to cause the neighbors to complain, but I can still clean to my satisfaction. The super long power cord let's me plug in and vacuum my entire apartment, floor to ceiling, without unplugging and replugging. The powered head is surprisingly strong and pull forward out of your hands, if you let it. The non-powered head cleaned my hard floors better than a broom, and I watched any dust or dirt get sucked up before the head reached it. It came with ALL of the pieces, which I did not expect: crevice tool, Pet Power Mate motorized furniture brush, non-powered brush, powered head, non-powered head, hose, extending wand, one new HEPA bag (Style Q), and the canister vacuum (main body). The two filters in the canister were brand new without a spec of dust. And, everything works. I don't know what was wrong with it, or if it was merely a superficial blemish that caused it to be sold at discount. I found a few scuff marks on the bottom of the wheels (from use) and a little dust inside the canister inlet, but nothing else. Not a big deal, but I think the hose could be a foot or two longer. I pull on it more frequently than I'd like. I had an old Curtis Mathis canister vacuum that had a hose twice as long. I am very happy with this vacuum! I would highly recommend this vacuum! Read more

My family bought our first Kenmore canister vacuum in the early 90's. At the time we had three cats, a dog, and a fully carpeted house. It got a LOT of use, vacuuming about 900 sq feet at least once a week with all sorts of fur and dirt. It was eventually lost some attachments and the hoses started to fray and was relegated to the shed / car vacuum, maybe 12 years later. When I needed a new vacuum in 2022, even though I live in a smaller house (500 sq ft) with NO PETS and little to no carpet, I still decided to get a Kenmore, even though reviews were a bit mixed and suggesting lowered quality than that first vacuum we bought in the early 90's. I was hoping to find something a bit more powerful and lasting than some of these cute, lightweight, powerless models. Overall, I am very happy with this vacuum. It's done a great job for my home. It's easy to use and a lot more powerful than some of the other more trendy charging vacuums that really don't do much more than a glorified sweep. We have no pets and less carpet, but we do lots of gardening, with lots of leaf matter from a big yard, as well as dust, cobwebs and wood stove ash--it's doing a great nearly four years later. Here's what I like: - much lighter than the "classic" Kenmore - the suction is good, though it doesn't feel quite as super power as the "classic" Kenmore of the 90s - the toe-tap options to remove or adjust the level of the power head - on-wand power and suction adjustment controls* - nice long cord with push-button recoil - smaller canister body, taking up less storage space - IT DOES NOT HAVE A BATTERY / CHARGE TO USE, it's just good, old-fashioned plug into the wall *adjusting the suction level at the thumb-tip is especially great for grabbing cobwebs around art, curtains, corners, where you don't want to attach to the thing they are on, but you do want to grab that pesky cobweb Here's what I don't like as much: - when the main hose swivels at the canister as you move around or raise the hose the suction sometimes powers off--this is only at certain angles, and it's momentary, but it made me wonder if this would grow / get worse with use, thankfully (so far) it hasn't - the bags that are made for this model seem too big, maybe it's a one-bag-fits-all scenario, but it seems like too large a bag will cause more heat which can wear things out - I miss the small-brush attachment, not for dusting or crevices, but a smaller upholstery attachment that had brushes in it Overall, I am happy with this vacuum and it works well for our moderate-use, no pets household.
