I am pretty sure that my first Kensington Orbit Mouse was purchased and used over 20 years ago on possibly a Mac IIci. I keep trying the wireless mice, wireless trackballs and wireless keyboards but end up using hardwired input devices because it really sucks when your wireless device runs out of juice while you are trying to get a project done. Left and Right clicking work great. Scrolling up and down a page is fantastic. Moving the pointer or picking up a file, etc. is a smooth operation. Then, of course, there is the comfort factor. It is very comfortable to use and I don't need to move things around on my desk while working with it. Oh, and these great input devices cost less than they did 20 years ago. Read more

This is a replacement for my previous exact trackball. The ball is a bit light, but it works well. I have had my last one for 4 years; it is good and reliable. The old one works fine; the USB connector is just a bit loose; I travel a lot and it gets removed often. I tested many others over the years, this one made sense to me and it is pain-free. I'm 60 with a bit of wrist pain. I'm still looking for the "perfect" trackball, but I haven't found it yet. This one is 4.6 stars. Read more

I have bought about 10 of these now over about a 10 year period. I'm in software, I use these 10 hours a day every day. I love that you can use either hand. I hate that there is no middle mouse button, and I have spent considerable time trying to find a way to do it. Can't use for point and shoot games, but I am too old for that anyway. Annoying that after about a year the left button dies. Annoying that my last one has an invisible cursor frequently, which sometimes but not always is fixed if you unplug it and plug it in again. Still buying them, because they are simply the best design that exists, despite the above problems. They ended my carpal tunnel. Read more

My wife has a crowded desk. Lawyers and puppies live on paper... Given the environment a trackball is the only practical solution. A mouse take far more space and a finger pad lacks precision. This is her third Kensington Orbit Mouse. The last one had a switch that crapped out. She goes through one trackball every two years and the Kensington seem to be the most durable. Is it a good value? Well, the Kensington Orbit Mouse is a bit pricey. That said, it's impossible to put a value on a happy spouse -- and this trackball makes her happy... Read more

Great trackball. Biggest fail is the thin rubber feet which aren't even glued on and come off within a month. They could have a far superior product if the feet where a bit thicker and glued on, not gummed on. Also, the buttons tend to go bad after 6 months or less! Read more

This is my third or fourth, and I love them. Dust will slow the ring down, even with compressed air, but that' after several years. Read more

This device is designed for a large hand which I don’t have. I have to physically move my hand to use the buttons on the side. Additionally, it makes a noticeable clicking sound whenever a button is pushed. Read more
