The KETELESE Glass Bluetooth Speaker, is more than an oddity, it is a thoughtfully engineered speaker with excellent sound. It is also attractive. The engineers at Ketaslese went to great lengths in pursuit of authentic sound, and in my opinion, they have achieved it. The accuracy is very very good. There is also a high level of detail, and warmth. The bass coming from this small glass object is remarkable. In short, the sound quality is very very good. Is it the best I have heard, no... but the speaker I found myself comparing it to costs 50% more, and I like it, a lot :D I needed to find speakers in this price range to compare it to, as anyone else would. I have a lot of speakers, some would say a ridiculous number, and this is one of the best. I compared it to Audio pro, Bang and Olufsen, Denon, Sony,, Cambridge Audio, Boston Acoustics ... (some of these speakers moved in with my husband, a musician and sound engineer). They are all good speakers. This speaker is in about the same price range, and does hold up well in terms of performance. I did, in fact, try to find ways in which it did not, but after burn in the sound was very very good. The sound profile is different than the others mentioned. The accuracy is among the best. It is also very warm, and the bass richer than most. When you shop in this price range you get to look at things like tonality. People who like bass will love this speaker (I am anticipating my daughter trying to talk me into giving it to her). The vocals are also spot on. The sound is very clean, free of artifacts. The sound stage is not huge, but it did hold up well outside. It is not a portable speaker, needs to be plugged in, and also, it is very heavy. (My husband was impressed by the size of the magnets). You would not want to walk around carrying this speaker, even though it comes with a nice protective carrying case. That case is probably why it made it all the way to Hawaii in good shape. The controls are simple. It is very easy to set up, easy to use. It is also attractive and the sound quality, very good. Are there better? Depends on what you like. Read more

Over the years, I've collected many speakers and made a rule to myself that I will not add another speaker to the collection unless it can offer something unique. Well, call me intrigued when I saw this glass speaker. I was immediately surprised that the speaker came in a very nice travel case (see pics). Kudos right away! I was surprised again by the weight of this thing. At almost all glass (even the speakers), handle with care! The designers cleverly managed to hide all of the electronics within the thin metal frame on the perimeter of the speaker. They probably did not have enough space for a Li-ion battery. So, no cordless battery power which was fine by me because of its not very portable weight factor. The right speaker had a copper ring but the left speaker did not. I don't really know why but I originally thought that there was something wrong with my unit until I looked closer at the seller's pictures which matched the product that I received. The single rotary with push-in button was intuitive and easy to use. As for the sound, I recommend a break-in period as with most speakers but especially with this one. Once the sound began to loosen up a bit, the harsh highs softened up slightly and the bass was a bit fuller. These speakers had a different sound signature for sure than most of the typical designs. Acoustic guitars and horns really popped on this speaker with plenty of snappy string plucks and brassy notes. Where this speaker did not impress was in the bass department. Bass heads need not apply here. There was a passive bass radiator at the bottom of the speaker but that only helped marginally. For best results, the speaker should be placed in room corners to enhance the bass output. Overall, I really liked the speaker for its uniqueness over its sound quality. I certainly have better options in my collection with much more bass output and portability. I appreciated the fact that this speaker was not cluttered by the overused LED light effects. By no means that it was lacking in sound quality. But at the $620.99 price range, there are definitely much better options for purely sound quality. If that were the only requirement, I would not have added this truly unique speaker to my collection. Sometimes form triumphs over function, and with this mindset, the designers knocked it out of the park! PS. I had to subtract one star due to the high price to performance ratio. Sorry! I contacted the seller and confirmed that only the right speaker is powered/active. The left speaker is a passive bass radiator. Read more

The media could not be loaded. The first thing that I want to talk about with speaker is the build. The build quality of this speaker is both solid and futuristic. The look of it is sleek and very well done and for a glass see through cabinet you do not see any exposed wiring. There is a good amount of weight on this speaker and I can see why they include a mini suitcase to tote it around. Hooking it up to my phone via bluetooth was basic and easy. There is no rechargeable battery built into this speaker system so you will have to always use the included power adapter. Now lets talk about the sound. The sound of this speaker is amazing especially if you are a person that likes vocals. The speaker makes a really nice and persent sound stage and you can can hear the separation of vocals and instruments. When I am playing a song on this speaker system the clarity is excellent and it just sounds different then other regular speaker systems. I was skeptical at first about the glass that is incorporated into the woofers of these speakers but I was so wrong. The highs are super crisp and the mids are amazing and the only thing that I found a little lacking is the bass signature of the speakers. The bass is derived from a thin film down firing speaker which does a adequate job just do not expect 808 bass sound. When I played Fleetwood Mac Dreams on it (one of my audiophile test songs) it sounded absolutely amazing and the speaker system created an amazing soundstage. The speaker system also gets really loud and can be turned played really loud with no distortion. I really like this speaker system and the unique sound that it puts out as far as it being a good value for the price I would say from design to engineering it almost for me reaches its asking price.
