If lip glosses usually annoy you but plain balms bore you, this sits right in the middle. This is a true balm/ gloss hybrid. It goes on cushiony and smooth with a gel balm feel that looks glossy without turning sticky or heavy. My lips felt comfortable right away, not coated, and I never had that hair stuck to mouth situation that makes me ditch most glosses. The Vanilla Bean shade looks deeper in the tube than it wears. On the lips it sheers out into a soft, warm tint that evens things out without looking like obvious color. It’s polished enough to wear on its own and subtle enough to layer over liner or lipstick without changing the tone underneath. The vanilla scent is noticeable at first but not loud or fake. It fades pretty quickly, which I appreciate. Wear time is what you’d expect from a balm. I reapply after eating, but my lips still felt soft even once the shine was gone, which is the whole reason I kept reaching for it. The tube is small but practical, easy to toss in a bag, and the applicator makes it easy to apply without a mirror. A little goes a long way, so it doesn’t feel like you’re burning through it. This isn’t a long wear tint or a dramatic gloss moment. It’s more of a comfy, glossy “your lips but better” situation that works for everyday wear. For someone who can’t try this in person and hasn’t heard of the brand, this is a solid introduction to KimChiChic Beauty and the kind of product you end up using without overthinking it. Read more

This balm has been very hydrating and comfortable on my lips. The tint is really pretty and gives a glossy finish that makes lips look smooth and healthy. It goes on easily and the tube applicator makes it simple to apply without any mess. The vanilla scent is noticeable but gentle. It smells clean and cozy and never feels irritating or too strong. I actually enjoy it each time I use it and it fades naturally after application. The texture feels cushiony and moisturizing and keeps my lips soft for a long time. It does not feel sticky and it wears well throughout the day. My lips look plump and polished which makes this easy to reach for daily. This has been a great lip product when I want hydration with a little color and shine. Read more

I’ve been using this balm for about a week —pretty much daily, usually tossed in my bag and reapplied a few times throughout the day. My lips run on the dry side (especially in winter), and I wanted something that felt more “balm” than “lip gloss,” but still looked a little polished. Texture-wise it’s that balm/gloss hybrid… cushiony, kind of gel-like, and shinier than a stick balm but not syrupy. It’s not zero-stick, but it’s also not that hair-sticking-to-your-mouth type of gloss. The shade in the tube looks like a deeper brown-mauve, but on the lips it sheers out into a warm, muted tint—enough to even things out without looking like “I’m wearing lipstick.” I’ve worn it alone and over a liner, and both worked. The vanilla scent is real but not overpowering—more cupcake-ish for the first few minutes, then it fades. Wear time is what you’d expect: it survives some sipping, but after eating it’s basically gone. That said, my lips still felt softer even after the shine wore off, which is the main reason I kept reaching for it. Side note: the tube is small but not tiny, and the applicator is easy to control without smearing outside the lip line. If you want a super long-lasting tint, this isn’t that. It’s more of a comfy, glossy “your lips but better” situation that you’ll reapply like a normal balm. For me, it’s been a solid everyday one—especially if you like a sheer neutral tint and hate the heavy, sticky gloss feeling. Read more

I’m really enjoying this lip balm! I appreciate that it gives a nice tint without being a full lipstick, which makes it perfect for everyday wear. The formula is hydrating, adds a soft glossy finish, and, best of all, it doesn’t dry my lips out like some tint items tend to do. The color payoff is just enough to brighten your look without feeling heavy or overly pigmented. It’s comfortable, smooth, and has that fun, flavored balm feel that KimChiChic is known for. Overall, if you want something moisturizing with a hint of color and shine, this balm is a great choice. Read more

This lip balm was much more hydrating than I was expecting. It's usually hit or miss with tinted lip balms that claim to be hydrating these days but this one definitely is. It glides on nice and smoothly and actually stays. I love the vanilla smell and the fact that it's flavored. It definitely tastes like vanilla. It makes me nostalgic for the flavored chapsticks I had as a kid. I also really love the mauve like color of this. It looks natural but the extra pop is noticeable. The applicator is really nice, definitely comparable to other popular balms like Summer Fridays. Only this one is half the price for the same quality. I like how clean the ingredients are. The formula used definitely does exactly what it claims. I love how soft my lips feel after using this. I'd definitely recommend this and probably will buy a couple of these for my sisters and friends. Read more
