Gift for grandsons new apartment . This comes in a long skinny box . All parts were present . It went together quickly with electric screwdriver , and is sturdy . There are three cross bars , nine support legs and everything lined up , this is a superior design for support and ease of assembly vs slats . Standard height from the floor was perfect for thick mattress and box spring. Best of all this is made in such a way the legs are just slightly inside the frame so you will NOT constantly hit your toes as you approach the bed or take bedding off and on . Cannot tell you how excited I was when this showed up at my door! For too many years, I've had one of the original, clunky, heavy, almost impossible to move without a team, 'moving' bed bases. Definitely not as slim and lightweight as today's are. Well, cord broke on the electric bed base years ago, can't find the remote, u g h. I've desperately wanted to change to just a regular normal base. I rarely used that up/down feature on the bed anyway - it was a novelty when I got it. So easy to assemble and plop that box spring down. NOT so easy to unassemble the carry out the old monstrosity. Great price if you're not getting a freebie with a mattress purchase. Read more
I'm very impressed with this frame, especially at this price. It's not like the rickety, sharp & hazardous frames of my youth. Assembly is super simple - the whole thing is held together by screws on the legs themselves. You have nine points of stability - three per side and three down the middle - so there's no shaking or sagging. I put it together by myself in a tiny room in less than 15 minutes. The construction is all metal, substantial and strong but not overly heavy. The only downside is it's a pretty low frame - maybe 6 inches off the ground? So if you're looking for a little more height, this isn't the way to go. Otherwise, it's a no-brainer for this quality at this price. Read more
