This is a very nice mattress protector. It is soft and there is no "plastic" noise. Quality material. It fits perfectly on our deep mattress that also has a pillow top so it's extra thick. A cut on my arm from a rose bush put a drop of blood on the protector, so I sprayed it with cleaner a few times and scrubbed it and voila' it disappeared. This is not one of the cheapo protectors. I keep a plastic mattress cover on my child’s mattress all the time and this mattress protector is great over it. It isn’t water proof by any means like the plastic but it does create enough of a barrier to keep the plastic from making him sweat all night. It’s just thick enough without being really heavy. I will say that the material does start to wear oddly over time. It pills up and pulling the pills off causes some strands to come with it. Still I would recommend as a topper to a plastic cover. The mattress protector is very soft, I didn’t know what Tercel was until I got this… kind of Jersey type of fabric over a super thin tiny foan. It does not change the feel of your mattress softness or hardness. Stay cool while sleeping on it - the old cover I had was kind of down comforter type and heated up the bed - I live in Florida ! I gave only 3 starts because I had to sew in the four corners a 2 inches wide elastic band strap as well as an elastic band strap across the sides in order to keep the cover in place. The skirt is so flimpsy and elastic band is way weak just add useless fabric under the sheets. Maybe if my mattress was taller (it is 11.5 tempurpedic) it would fit better. For the price, it should have elastic straps on the corners. Read more
