My husband has really thick toenails that get ingrown easily. He's also a big man with back problems and swollen legs so its hard for him to stay bent over trying to get regular clippers to cut through his nails. I got him this set because it specifically says its for seniors with ingrown nails. It lives up to the hype! He's had an ingrown toenail that has bothered him for a month and he was able to get it out using this set. The set comes in a nice zippered carrying case and every piece has bands to secure them in place. It has two traditional looking clippers except one has a curved cutting area which my husband said made it easier to cut the sides of his nails. Part of his problem is cutting his nails straight makes sharp edges that then get ingrown. The other tool looks like wire cutters I use for cutting floral wire except the edge is curved. My hubby informed me to not even THINK of swiping them for that. (I would NEVER) Anyway, he really liked that tool. It was sharp and he was able to get down along his toe and finally get the piece that was hurting him cut out. So I would highly recommend them. This is a super useful toenail Clipper set. It basically has everything that you need to keep those dogs from barking, LOL. From the file to the angled clippers, the shears and the awesome little cleaner jig thingy everything is quite useful. My significant other has thicker toenails and it works very well for her. We've both used them and they are great to use. Although as a honorable mention I do like their long handle one even better, but these are still 5 out of 5 stars. The carrying case is super handy and helps you keep everything together and not lose anything which is absolutely amazing. I can't tell you how many toenail clippers we've just lost because we had nothing to put them in. The case and all of the components of the set are really a great value. This is a very nice set of toenail (and fingernail) clippers that seems to cover all of the bases. The padded, zipped case holds everything neatly and is convenient to store. My favorite part is the handheld clippers for thick nails. The rubberized handles are easy to grip and close. The angle of the blades makes it easy to nip off even the thickest, gnarliest toenails. The two smaller clippers have different blade designs, so it is easy to trim the rounded parts of the nail. These clippers work great for fingernails as well. The quality of these clippers looks very good, made of martensitic steel (stays sharp and resists corrosion). I like that the smaller clippers can be locked in the closed position for easy storage.
