I put this in the bathroom so we wouldn’t have to use the bright lights at night- I have very sensitive eyes. The soft yellow is gentle on the eyes (unlike other stabbing blue tones) and still illuminates the space very well. I like the automatic light-sensing component. No switch is convenient, we just leave it plugged in and it turns on when it gets dark. I would absolutely recommend for a nightlight in the kitchen, hallway, garage, or bath! You can actually see what you’re doing in the event that vision is required for your task- great for contact lens wearers or finding the toothpaste lid to screw back on. Unlike some other lights on the market, this one does great in high humidity environments and humidity doesn’t seem to impact the product in any way. Salt rock night lights don’t do as well in this department- in fact I got this to replace a salt rock nightlight that couldn’t keep up with steamy showers. Awesome nightlight. Read more

Recently I’ve moved away from warm white night lights, experimenting first with some amber styles then red. Both amber and red are much easier on the eyes, although finding the best styles and bright/dim combination for our home has meant a few returns and gifts to friends. These red night lights are overall best for us. They are the best looking, with a matte finish that gives a subtle ambient glow to the wall without bright spots, even viewed straight on, like others with facets or clear acrylic finish produce.
